Television and Radio Ads Draw Strong Contrast Between Mountjoy and Feinstein on Illegal Immigration
U.S. Senate candidate Dick Mountjoy today unveiled a media campaign aimed at drawing a stark contrast between himself and his opponent, Dianne Feinstein, on Mountjoys signature issue: illegal immigration.
The ads point out that since 9/11, more Americans have been killed at the hands of illegal immigrants, than in the terrorist attacks and the war in Iraq combined. In addition, there are nearly 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders living in the United States.
Illegal immigration is a serious national problem, said Mountjoy. And what is Dianne Feinsteins answer? She wants to give amnesty to illegal aliens. Thats not a solution. Amnesty only encourages more and more illegal immigration.
Mountjoy specifically cited Feinsteins vote for the Arlen Specter-Ted Kennedy amnesty bill, S.2611, and for her co-sponsorship of another amnesty bill, S.2075.
Most Californians dont know that Feinstein supports amnesty. Shes such an amnesty supporter that she even co-sponsored amnesty legislation, continued Mountjoy.
In contrast, Dick Mountjoy strongly opposes amnesty for illegal aliens. The author of Californias historic Prop. 187, he has been leading the fight to stop the government from giving tax-funded benefits to illegal immigrants.
We need to stop giving incentives that draw illegal immigrants into our nation, he said. That means cutting off tax-funded benefits and subsidies, changing our so-called anchor-baby law, and absolutely opposing any amnesty schemes that reward those who have broken our laws.
Mountjoys television and radio ads began airing Tuesday morning in select markets throughout the state. They are also available on Dick Mountjoys website www.mountjoyforsenate.com
Ahh. Dick?? The election is Tuesday.???
A little late, ya think?
That's his real name?
Only from California, pal...
Agreed. Good campaign, but he should've started at least three weeks ago.
Richard would sound better.
Yeah, but he might win San Francisco. :)
Focusing on illegal immigration? Well, he's certainly going to lose the illegal immigrant voters basing his campaign on that. ;)
He's got my vote, too. But just today, I was trying to remember who it was that was running against DiFi.
