The bottom line is that Schiavo was an issue for the legislature, not the courts. But like so many other issues, the legislature is not doing its job, so the courts simply substitute their own judgment.

Still hoping and praying Crist will lose because of his failure to help Terri.

Crist gives me the creeps. The tone of the whole article is that somehow having supported Terri's right to live and even to due process is a bad thing.

Terri's parents and siblings continue to help others. There are new articles there about their lectures and calls to action.

Just sick that they are both vying to be the candidate who tried hardest
to help the murderous Michael pull off his evil deed, under the guise
of privacy!

By mid-day today, Charlie Crist's AG Office, he changed his recollection AGAIN of his involvement re: Terri Schiavo. That would be the third flip flop in recent news accounts. I'm just reporting the news, not trying to get his fans upset. Davis got a big bump after the 2nd debate.
Gallagher's campaign manager is emailing Gallagher's supporters re: amendments. I emailed him back that I was patient and hopefully, the GOP would run a decent candidate for guv in four years.

speaking of campaign war chests, Crist's is highest in nation for governor's race. I'm quite sick of him at this point. The billboards and on television. Not four years of that empty suit! Say it aint' so!

This public display of Big Government interference by Republicans will be noted by future historians as the beginning of the end.

If Terri is going to be in the Democratic playbook, do you know what we need? A fact sheet on Terri. Medical issues. Legal issues. FAQ. The main things one needs to know, right at your fingertips, crisp and simple. We can all work together on this. Ask the Terri ping folks to think up questions, then let's hone the answers together.
Plus, I do want to include my favorite question because our visitors can't answer it (and have never even tried). Shucks, Michael Schiavo has never answered it honestly either. You know, the one asking innocently, now that bulimia has been ruled out by the autopsy report... how did Terri end up face down on the floor in the hall, in cardiac arrest and nearly dead, right after Michael got home from work late that Saturday night?
You don't suppose they were having a little domestic tiff that day, do you? It might have gotten out of control.

Republican gubernatorial front-runner Charlie Crist says he was perfectly clear in opposing governmental intervention in the Terri Schiavo case. If the government wasn't going to intervene in preventing her husband from letting her die, who WAS going to intervene? As it was, it was the government who ORDERED her to be killed. So, the government, as well as her husband, were responsible for her death.
