Casey to Welcome Kerry to Philadelphia Tonight for Fundraiser
Pittsburgh - According to today's Philadelphia Inquirer, Bob Casey Jr. made the following comments about John Kerry's disparaging remarks yesterday:
"From what I can gather, Kerry botched a joke. That's what he said, and I take him at his word. He served in combat. Last time I checked, the president and the vice president did not. The White House and the Santorum forces should get to work on dealing with the real problems in Iraq. The first thing they should do is fire Mr. Rumsfeld instead of spending a lot of time trashing Democrats." (Jennifer Loven, "'04 foes exchange fire anew on troops, war, education," The Associated Press via The Philadelphia Inquirer, November 1, 2006)
Here's what John Kerry said yesterday during a speech in California, "You know, education -- if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Vince Galko, campaign manager for Santorum 2006, "This wasn't a joke as Bob Casey contends. Casey needs to acknowledge these comments for what they were - disparaging to the honorable men and women serving in the armed services - and denounce them. We've known that Bob Casey is nothing more than a shallow mouth piece for the talking points assigned to him, but for Casey to not know that John Kerry crossed the line is deeply troubling. Bob Casey needs to rethink his comments and call on Kerry to apologize. Perhaps he can do so when John Kerry joins him for a fundraiser tonight in Philadelphia."
The only thing Kerry did was shoot himself in the arse with a piece of rice. Kerry's "combat" in Vietnam is the real joke.
When you botch a joke, you usually don't leave out the "antagonist". (kerry says it was GWB) You usually "Botch" the punchline (kerry used the Troops).
I saw this picture yesterday and they look a little too cozy, face against face! Ye gads~~~
Very good!
Leave it up to the DC insider at NRO to make a twisted logic and assume that Kerry insult to the troops is going to help some democrats simply because they asked Kerry to apologize not because they care about the troops but because about the elections chances. The majority of voters are not buying what these democrats are saying, they know that democrats cannot be trusted on national security and that is it, it will hurt them badly on elections day.
Kerry is a very wierd person...for many reasons
way tooo cozy
even his wife pushes him away
***That's what he said, and I take him at his word. He served in combat. Last time I checked, the president and the vice president did not. ****
How about Bob casey , has he served? If not, Why not?
These DUmmies are being exposed for their real agenda.
They hate all of the people who serve...
My tagline...
I wish Santorum had a chance but he clearly doesn't... he hasn't been within 10% for months. And even if it was close fraud would still push Casey over the top. They need to take the cash elsewhere.
The hilarious thing in all this is that I can actually see the Kerry interpretation. The fact that it is not the most obvious reading of the words, and that he's incapable of apologizing for not being more clear in his effort to insult Bush, is an equally strong indictment of his lack of character.
Taking it a step further, I find it hilarious that the same people who are trying to spin this away by saying "He actually meant to insult the President" are the ones claiming that the interpretation of Kerry's remark as an insult to the troops are engaging in "hate speech."
very good :
(Kerry & the Surrender-Donkey Treasoncrats - trashing the troops for 40 years.)
Anyone who would take John Kerry "at his word", is a fool.
I just cannot embrace this mindset. I am going tonight to a training in order to learn how to be a striker on November 7th. I'm going door to door on Friday and Saturday. I believe you fight to the end regardless of the outcome. And if anyone is worth the money and the effort, it's Rick Santorum!

Hi Chena!
AMEN!

He is indeed beyond an empty suit.....he is M-U-S-H!

By my best estimate, Adams County is about 60% Republican, 38% Demo'rat, and a very loud and obnoxious 2% Green Party element (one of the Gettysburg Borough Council Members actually got himself elected as a Greenie). I think Santorum will carry Adams County easily even though the 'rats have made an effort to put Casey yard signs in every public nook and cranny they can find there.
Nope, that's another Dem who wishes he'd never gotten cosey with Senator Radioactive.
Casey's apparently not smart enough to know when to distance himself.
I am soooo enjoying this.
So then, Mr Casey, in your mind John Kerry is above Presidents John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Grover Cleveland, William Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, and Bill Clinton, who also never served in the military? You sir are in the same category as John Kerry, a dolt!!! And you don't deserve to win an election for dog catcher, much less Senator!!!!!!!!!!
