Does he want to tell the truth and fail or lie and pass?
To: Hildy
Sounds like it was written by a "communitarian."
To: Hildy
One way to freak them out would be to give them a religion based answer. "I felt unity and community in my church." Of course, that may flunk him.

How can we be a more unified world community?
Exterminate members of religions who insist on trying to kill us for not sharing their beliefs.

Two routes to go on this. Either tell them what they want to hear diversity, blah, blah, blah, understanding...equal ditribution of wealth; or.....

After 9/11 we all felt a sense of unity. How can we be more unified? Be united in a common front against Islam's radicals.

Unless he was unitarian or buddhist or native american, then its a sure A. Islam is a B, Christianity is an F.

Actually, he is a member, and a very active one, in a church. So I was surprised to get this question as he has the Navy and the Church in his bag of tricks. Maybe he realizes that's NOT what the schools want to hear.

Talk about the emotions of 9-11. How we all wanted to pull together. How we all knew it was Us against Them. How the world would be a better place without violent terrorists waging a religious war against everyone who does not practice their faith.

I just wouldn't answer it and when asked why respond with "Because I don't buy into your liberal BS. I came here for an education and paid for one too, so if you'd be so kind as to keep politics out of it and get back to teaching, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, oh, and vote Conservative in '08.".
I had to deal with this kinda crap at my 2nd grader's school down in Austin last year. They had "I am a citizen of the world" plastered all over the school - I ensured that my kid didn't participate in any of it and instead was offered trips to the library to study and/or read.
