Ive interviewed Michael J. Fox several times before but never quite like this.
After all the controversy and publicity and debate about his political ad, and the criticism he got from people like Rush Limbaugh, he really is in the eye of a political storm right now. But when he came to our studio for our exclusive interview, he was remarkably calm. He was also obviously symptomatic. He trembled uncontrollably, and his legs shook, but he explained it was actually a side effect of not taking enough medication. He told me he reduced his dosage because he didnt want to have dyskinesia, which is the side effect of too much medication, and which causes the swaying back and forth that was so evident in the controversial ad for Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill. Fox said that he can never tell from one day to the next how serious his symptoms will be. Its a crapshoot.

I'll be getting some Pepto-bismol on the way home to try and keep my stomach calm.
So did he NOT TAKE ENOUGH of his meds to make himself appear worse than what he really is all in the name of stem cell research?
STFUB
I think he's flip-flopping (his story) more that John Kerry...
Yes having Parkinson's disease is bad. But using it to promote a political agenda on an unproven science that kills babies is despicable.
One of the chapters of Ann Coulter's book "Godless" was about the Dem's tactics of putting a "victim" up as the spokesman for some cause... ala Cindy Sheehan, The Jersey Girls, Max Cleland, etc... and if anyone disagrees with this spokesman's comments, then they are pilloried for being "insensitive" and for "attacking" the victim.
We can now add Michael J. Fox to the list.
Good advice; thanks.
Hey,Katie....I think it's time for ya to buy a vowel.
I absolutely hate to say this but he is an actor and "acting" is what he does for a living.
Please don't flame me but I view his actions as suspicious in light of the fact that he did not take enough meds and the fact that he is an actor and promoting stem cell research.
Michael has inherited the role from Christopher "Superman" Reeve.
This must have been Perky's feeble attempt at humor, trying to show MJF was "bi-partisan"....HA!
Backing Arlen Sphincter is the icing on the cake!
Yes, this is today's story. You could see it develop, right here on FR, yesterday morning.
This is immaterial. This real issue is that what MJF states in the ad is a complete and TOTAL LIE.
In the ad he states that Jim Talent wants to criminalize stem cell research.
Liberals are giving false hope to the sick and dying in this country and it is high time that it be stopped. Liberals have no morales and would sell their soul as long as they could be God on earth.
Wow, the last few threads have been about Fat Nat Maines on Oprah, Sheehan in Fresno, and now MJF. Is it VICTIM NIGHT or something? How long are the libs going to play the victim card? Oh, never mind...
"He told me he reduced his dosage because he didnt want to have dyskinesia, which is the side effect of too much medication"
Staving off, no doubt, the questions that were raised by "people like Rush Limbaugh" that he manipulates his medication so as to appear appropriately "pitiful."
He and they were wrong. He is advocating murder to cure his disease.
MJF is just a Vader-wannabe. After all, he had a "good" reason to kill the Jedi younglings, too.
They are pathetic. I will bet that people will lose respect for MJF.
