No, she said enshrining cloning in the Missouri Constitution could led to the exploitation of poor women, who feel pressure to harvest their eggs to make some money. She pointed out that this is a painful and dangerous proceedure. I agree with her completely. I also believe that the harvesting of eggs for money is immoral and unethical. Cloning is the issue here...which is exactly what this Amendment 2 is all about. The political ad by Michael J. Fox completely distorts that fact. I'll go so far as to say that he outright LIES about it (lie of ommission at least) in his ad.
Cloning is not only immoral but it is just CREEPY...and shouldn't even be under consideration. These are human lives that are being talked about as if they are some sort of experiment or innocuous object. These embryos are HUMAN BEINGS at their earliest stages which amendment two would allow to be cloned and used for lab experimantation. It's vile and disgusting and creepy.

I agree with you here..plus has any disease been cured with Stem Cell research? I don't believe so. Diseases can be cured with natural and herbalistic means but thier is no money in it for the Big Pharmecutical Industries...
MS patients have been helped with Bee Venomn.

Michael J. Fox and Patricia Heaton are not so very different. Both are very personable, talented actors who have both had alot of success in their careers.
I have watched and read about MJF for many years and about his foundation and his search for a cure.
I also read with great interest a much less publicized article (very much less publicized!) about Patrica Heaton's personal donation of several sonargraph machines to clinics that counsel pregnant women who are torn or confused about the pregnancy. The idea behind the sonargrams is that if a woman can see her baby, then the baby becomes a reality to the mother and she will likely give birth and life to the child.
Patricia Heaton does this to save lives. Michael J. Fox does what he does to save HIS life. Yes. MJF is very ill and his life must be very difficult. If this issue is so important to him, why didn't he have the courage to fully disclose what he was endorsing, EMBRYONIC stem cell research? In the commercial, every thing he is saying is about EMBRYONIC stem cell, but he never ever uses that word. Totally dishonest.
