Patricia Heaton who won an Emmy for her work on "Everyone Loves Raymond" is taking sides in the stem-cell research debate.
Shes put herself on the opposite side of Michael J. Fox, the much-beloved actor whos been battling Parkinsons disease since 1991 and is a firm supporter of embryonic stem-cell research.
Heaton is now appearing in a commercial intended to persuade Missouri voters to vote against Amendment 2 on their ballot.
Fox, in his own commercial, urges voters to support the measure and Democrat Claire McCaskill, who is running for U.S. Senate against the incumbent, Jim Tenant, a Republican who opposes embryonic stem-cell research.

Obviously she's got the money for it. And as an actress appearances do matter. I'm just glad she's got all that syndication money to fall back on. In case she gets blacklisted.
It's typical that when a person disagrees with a liberal, that they think they are being attacked.
I think Fox should get put his sperm and his wife's eggs where his mouth is and donate both to create embroys to sacrifice to help save him.
I don't remember her attacking Fox. Did she?
I don't share your paranoia about that.
Yes, and this is the reason that people shouldn't just "have compassion" for Michael and let him do his thing.
He is avidly activist on the issue...not just a victim. Meaning he is avidly going after the fetuses; intent on killing tiny humans and raising millions with that intent in mind.
She's made so much money on "Raymond" than it doesn't matter.
Well, she's a big enough star, so she'll probably keep working.
The Fox commercial does not urge voters to support the "measure." He says that McCaskill supports his chance for hope (blech) and Talent wants to criminalize the science. He doesn't say anything about the Amendment to the Constitution that would permit human cloning. This thing is a lie from start to finish.
Uhhh ... much-beloved by whom? I guess by the only people who "matter".
I feel sorry for Michael J Fox he has a debilitating disease and is still very young with young children, I think he is doing whatever he can to find a cure and it is caught in the web of the political landscape.
If the doctors were telling him thier might be a cure for Parkinson's in jimson weed or snake venom he proably would be on TV speaking of that...
She got de gut.
Excellent performance in "Path to 9-11," too.
>>>I think Fox should get put his sperm and his wife's eggs where his mouth is and donate both to create embroys to sacrifice to help save him.<<<
On target.
No... she didn't. But neither did Limbaugh and you see how they smeared him for dissecting Fox's political... 'statement'.
Spellcheck isn't everything.
But does that excuse MJF for telling deliberate lies about George W. Bush, James Talent, and Michael Steele.
JMO, there is no excuse for MJF's deliberate lies.
"Boob job didn't hurt her either. ;^"
She says she had them "lifted". And apparantley inflated.
I like both of these actors a lot; however, on this issue, I wholeheartedly agree with Patricia Heaton. I understand where Fox is coming from and have compassion for what he's going through, I just don't happen to agree with his policy position. (So, apparently, that makes me eeeeevil!)
Rush is right that when you enter the realm of politics, you should expect to criticism from the other side. In the first political science course I took in college, the prof got up and said politics is about conflict. People are going to have different ideas about how things should be done and the goal is to come up with good laws, despite people's differences.
I really hate that libs think that they are the only ones who are entitled to their beliefs and entitled to act on those beliefs. How can people who are supposedly so *enlightened* to the "truth" forget that 50% + 1 of all Americans who actually bothered to vote, don't agree with them? And it's okay!
