Singer requires K-9 sweep of arenas before U.S. tour dates OCTOBER 24--As she travels the U.S. on tour, Barbra Streisand is so security conscious that she requires a police K-9 team to sweep arenas before she performs, according to the singer's concert rider. Streisand's security requirements--which include metal detectors at all doors--are detailed in a September 12 rider, an excerpt of which you'll find below. The "thorough inspection" by the K-9 team, which is required before the 64-year-old star's pre-show sound check, is presumably geared toward discovering explosive devices. The 16-city Streisand tour, which kicked off earlier this month in Philadelphia, features a top ticket price of $750 and a duet with a bumbling George W. Bush imitator.

Here in NYC I heard she is also making life a living absolute hell in every hotel she stays at...Why the hell this bonfide psychopath even has a career or is even taken seriously is something I`ll never understand in a billion years.
First off, the market for singers is absolutely saturated BEYOND belief, beyond the breaking point, and I`m talking about GOOD singers...There are so many fantastic, mind blowing singers out there right now (and I`m not talking about the ones who do the cliched Mariah Carey gymnastic type of singing) it is beyond insane to focus on any of them unless they have a second talent as a good songwriter or can play an instrument very well such as a piano or whatever (something Ms. Streisand has yet to prove she can do even ONCE!). I mean this whole "Im` a star, I`m a singer" stuff is so completely "dime a dozen" it just boggles the mind how anybody could make a living at it, yet we constantly get these singers shoved down our throats, even the ones who CAN`T sing!
What the hell even happened to talents like Carly Simon or Carole King who not only had a great voices but could write absolutely unreal songs? To this day I remember when I was 8 years old fishing with my father and hearing Carole King singing "It`s too late" over the radio and thinking what a great song that was, and later finding out she not only sang it but also wrote it and also wrote a gazillion other fantastic songs! THAT is talent! Striesand is NOT talent!
Why the hell isn`t Carole Kings arse being kissed like this elephantine snouted Streisand? Striesand isn`t one hair on one zit on the arse of someone like Carole King when it comes to talent, yet Streisand constantly gets the media, the promos the millions, and ALL she ever did was have about 2 or 3 good songs (written by other people) and put out a bunch of lame movies. Oh please, where is that Oscar for Yentl?
Like that guy who stood up at one of her concerts last week and told her to shut up; If he really want to shut her up, he should have yelled out WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE A CAREER? I think she doesn`t even know why...She`s an over-promoted, over-rated lounge singer, a 5 minute spotlight in a wedding band and that`s it, and to me the only reason she has all this attention is directly because of her psychopathic liberal dementia.
I am old enough to remember a rather unattractive 14 year old girl on an album cover, and the music within was that of an incredible and powerful talent... one of the greatest voices of the century, actually.
