The message to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, DO IT! Build that sucker.
Also build a Wind Farm in front of the Kennedy property.

I say that every Hollywood personally must personally go out 14 miles and stay there until this gas depot isn't built.

Opponents, however, say the terminals would not meet clean air requirements and could be terrorist targets. That's a new NIMBY argument that I haven't heard before.

They know they have the bucks to get their power, so screw the
rest of us if there is any chance their view will be impaired.
To: Anti-Bubba182
Brosnan, who hosted the protest, said his opposition to the terminals extends beyond the beach in his backyard. He plans to oppose other proposed terminals, including one in Long Beach and one in Port Hueneme. Humm...Why do I get this feeling that producers aren't exactly ringing his phone off the hook?

This is some funny sh_t! They don't want nukes. They don't want coal. They don't want oil fired power plants....and now they don't want natural gas. Too funny.
Get ready USA...for the mass of exodus of californians from that future third world cess pool.
To: yankeedame
I think he still gets work offers, but the romantic leading man stuff will have to diminish. If Brosnan shows up at the other sites it would be to make his interest seem less self serving than it probably is.

What these freaks want is no danger to their views or possible decline in the value of their property whatever it may cost society as a whole, just like Kennedy and the wind farms.
To: Anti-Bubba182
I'm sure this facility provides much needed jobs, but not the kind of jobs Hollywoodies approve of. If some slimeball porno baron was building the worlds largest filming studio they would be throwing humongous party.

That's a new NIMBY argument that I haven't heard before. And it's one heck of a back yard. Fourteen miles out would put the facilities over the horizon.
It interesting to hear a bunch of liberals say they're concerned about terrorist attacks, in any case.
Dick Van Dyke? Damn, I would've thought he had better sense. This wasn't some damned neighborhood association meeting.

Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, Cindy Crawford, Jane Seymour, Dick Van Dyke and Tea Leoni, Daryl Hannah, gathered Sunday to raise awareness about how the entertainment industry has invested billions to liquefy the public's brains.
To: Charles Martel
You'd think that Hollywood itself would be more of a target than an NGL plant over the horizon. I thought that it's the decadent American lifestyle that's being transported around the world via our movies, TV, and music that's supposed to be causing the clash of cultures.

Fourteen miles out would put the facilities over the horizon. They would be visible from the hills on the two or three days a year when the air is clear and dry.
