PG&E GAS BILLS TO SOAR CALIFORNIA IMPACT: Although the state's utility doesn't buy directly from the Gulf Coast, the coming shortage there will cause higher prices here http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sfgate.com/c/pictures/2005/09/14_t/mn_gas_graphic_t.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi%3Ffile%3D/c/a/2005/09/14/MNG7PENC1I1.DTL&h=64&w=64&sz=3&hl=en&start=4&tbnid=bcYPcRqGLXFWQM:&tbnh=64&tbnw=64&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcalifornia%2Bnatural%2Bgas%2Busage%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG

It's flammable? Well, duuuhh. But it's on the water, so what's the problem? Where would the tankers be pulling up? There is a terminal on the coast right now, that most people don't even know that isn a refueling spot, because tankers don't pull up. The water is too shallow for a maybe 10-15 miles out to the place where the tankers off load. I'll bet it's the same kind of thing.
Now, if Noam Chomsky or Hugo Chavez said it was a good thing these people would be all over it.
