There is something VERY important that you left out, though, Rokke.
The Japanese who were enlisted to fight for the United States in World War II were sent to the _European_ theather. They DID NOT fight other Japanese.
And, having said that, I postulate:
When the time comes - and it will - can we expect Islamic officers of our own forces to lead their troops against other Islamics?
Well, perhaps. But speaking for myself, I would not trust them in such a command.
