It's just a headline. Call me curious but for her to mention this means that the internals aren't showing good results for "Impeachment Talk". I guess she is trying to reassure us dumb folk

One word- triangulation. This could be a ploy by the dems. Pelosi says no impeachment when she is speaker, but that does not mean no impeachment if someone else is speaker. Pelosi could a.) start as the speaker, then step down, allowing someone else to start impeachment hearings, or b.) someone else could be chosen as speaker from the get-go, thus allowing Pelosi to say this. Everything the dems say is molded and crafted.

There is no way she will have the votes in the Senate for impeachment. But they might get a bill through the House, but it really is doubtful. If they try and don't make it, it would be bad for their chances in 2008.

Since the Foley non-sex scandal claimed Speaker Hastert, isn't Pelosi de facto automatically Speaker of a Republican House for any lame-duck session? Considering that Republicans will win enough seats--we pray--to elect a new Speaker in January and hopefully even expand their majority, she can't be talking about any other time.

There will never be a "Speaker Pelosi". I'll go on the record with this here and now. No way this country is that stupid. But the media is full of liars and liars could wrap this election up for the demonrats. I hope and pray this doesn't happen.
