Sort of like Pat's doing right now, huh? Well, I disagree with Pat today, except on the borders.
But in 1992 he really was ahead of his time. He received zero support from the party establishment and conservatives who supported him were depicted as wild-eyed religious wackos. His treatment in 1992 may explain his hatred of the GOP now, IMO.
