Deliver a Spanking
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review ^ | October 22, 2006 | Colin McNickle

Posted on 10/22/2006 8:49:20 AM PDT by Conservative Goddess

I am your typical Republican "supervoter." .... But I'm seriously considering ending that streak this Nov. 7. ...

I'm also a contrarian -- a conservative with libertarian leanings. Combine all these characteristics, then mix in the aggregate Republican record, allow the ire it has created to rise and bake it for a few years and here's what comes out of the oven:

A party base that's mad as hell and no longer willing to rationalize GOP failures. It's a base whose crust grows darker and thicker -- i.e., angrier -- when prominent conservatives and Republicans -- politicians, pundits, radio talk-show hosts and think tankers sensing impending electoral doom -- pop out of their pumpkins and upbraid the watered-on for complaining about being wet.

....

...Pay no attention to the recidivists behind the curtain who, once every two years or four or six, make grand promises of fealty to conservative and party principles only to repeatedly fail to deliver. ... What's the definition of insanity again? In this case it's constantly returning Republicans to power and having the audacity to expect different results. And what could be more stupid than that?

....

Look, folks, it's time to take a stand. Returning this current crew of Republicans to power will only embolden them to spend more time, not less, off the conservative reservation. This is no time to dance the Rationalization Rumba. It is time for the GOP base to deliver a very big SMACK. It's the only way to start the process of true Republican/conservative reclamation.

Fellow Republicans and conservatives, do what you must on Nov. 7. But I, for one, refuse to yet again enter my polling place, vote for the usual GOP suspects...

It's time for the long-spanked to do some spanking.

What if the Dems return to power and we can't get it back for another 40 years? I'll be 70 by then.

I'll be DEAD by then!

Tell that to those who voted for Toomey to get rid of Specter in PA.

And Toomey currently supports those candidate you are trying to sabotage in his name... stop and think for a minute.

Thanks. I'm often reminded of how misunderstood/misrepresented our system is. Consent of the governed doesn't mean candidates are picked out of a hat randomly by evil puppet masters in DC.

Despite what the press would have us believe.

Placing a -R behind a candidate's name does not mean that he supports conservative principles.

If your choice is the R or the D (and in the general election, that IS your choice), you believe the D is the best choice?

LOL

If you're going to be an idiot, at least try not to put your idiocy on parade.

Before the Democrats and MSM started this mantra about "Republican anger", I just wonder if it even existed. I don't think so. Too many people are too quick to fall into the MSM bubble.

The time to hold court on our Republican officials was during the primaries. NOT NOW!!!!!!

I don't think the MSM had the brains and where for all to start something like this.

No I think a group that has infiltrated the Republican party started it....IMHO

No, this is my correct website. However, rather than a continuous pep-rally for R's, I am more about promoting true conservatism and how to do that. Placing a -R behind a candidate's name does not mean that he supports conservative princples.

Show me a D in a congressional race that is more conservative than his R opponent.

I'll wait for your answer.

I'm skeptical. I've heard a couple of people, on "Rush", express views like these, and can't shake the belief that this is just a liberal trying to screw up Republican voters.

It obviously makes no sense to avoid voting for the lesser of evils, when that amounts to voting for the greater evil.

The problems we have with Congress are due to the Republicans not having enough of a majority, and many not being conservative enough. The latter problem should be dealt with in the primaries. The first problem will only get worse, if we elect more Democratic socialists.

Go back and check some of the immigration threads around the time of those big rallies by illegals. It's real, but it's being pumped up by the MSM for their own nefarious purposes.

Me, I vote for the most conservative candidate that has a chance of winning.

Of course the last time Democrats attained power in Congress, they held it for forty years. How much damage do you think Pelosi, Reid, Rangel, H. Clinton, Kennedy etc., etc., etc. could do if given power again for an unspecified length of time?

Considerable, for sure.

We are at war for the survival of Western civilization, and none of the people mentioned above will even acknowledge that fact. I, for one, want civilization to prevail.

So do I. If Western Civilization is to survive, the United States must be secure. That means we attack them on their turf and defeat them on their turf. It also means that we must secure our country and prevent them from attacking us and defeating us on our turf. Since our borders are not secure, we are very vulnerable to infiltration and attack on our turf. 911 was bad, but understandable under America's politically correct and politically motivated open border policy. As a matter of national survival and fundamental military logic, the border should have been immediately secured. After 5 years, the border is essentially as porous as before. The Republicans have no explanations for leaving us this vulnerable. Rather than address this basic threat to our national survival, they have chosen to threaten their core constituents with the alternative of maggot Democrats. I believe that both parties principal contributors want an open border policy to facilitate their business interests. Politicians have to respond to the financial contributors or the funds will go to another. So, they dance the "worse than me waltz" while ignoring the interests of the American people. President Eisenhower warned of the dangers of "industrial democracy" where the large corporations control the politicians. We have it now, and he was proven right to be concerned. The biggest threat to America and Western Civilization is not the "6th Century" Islamic butchers but the rot that taken over our political process.

It's straight R for me. I have children and a stake in the future of this country. The stakes are too high to play games with my vote.

Unfortunately, "playing games" is what our politicians do as they dance between the business interests of their financial contributors and the security of America and Western Civilization while pointing fingers of fear at maggots just like themselves. The people have no choices other than to vote for the less foul of two maggots. The stakes are definitely too high for these games, where the winners are those who can most efficiently sellout their country.

Yes, I have been here long enough to also know this argument of punishing the republicans has been used over and over again .

I would not be surprised if the current crop of crybaby posters have these on their bedroom walls:
