Is there any fund being established for his family?
I missed the local news tonight, so I have to say that I don't know of one yet.
Perhaps not, but I suspect that he's not particularly unique either.
No "perhaps" about it. You are attempting to paint all students who belong to fraternities with an ugly broad brush.
No, I was one of those students way back when. I'm all too aware of the colossally stupid things kids that age are capable of doing when under the influence, as this guy most likely was. I'm sure he didn't set out to kill a cop that night, and he's probably not a psychopath or a career criminal. But he did the deed, and it had horrific consequences. Now he's going to get an education of the kind he never bargained for.
Apparently, we are speaking past one another. I do not think he is representative of fraternity kids.
And how, hope his major was "Queer Studies".......
This scumbag deserves life in prison. What a POS.
You beat me to it. Spoiled rich kid from Germantown.
won't help him too much. He'll probably escape the needle, but not a very long stretch in Parchman. And being a spoiled rich kid from Germantown is not going to equip him for survival in the environment he's in right now. If they don't have him in protective custody, he may not survive to face trial.
Dr. Dwight N. Ball is still in town... no doubt this ass*%$! doesn't stand a chance, no matter who his daddy is...
will advise on future reports...

I think this punk deserves a special execution... I think we need to refurb the Gas Chamber in Parchment. I want to see this punks face when that Cyanide bag hits the solution bucket under his sorry arse!!!! KERPLOP...FIZZ!
May GOD comfort the officers family and may the officer sit at the right hand of Jesus. Amen.

Two of my best friends work for Gulfport PD. They hate traffic detail more than you hate getting stopped.

He better not drop the soap. He better hope they don't "pole" him up at Parchment either.

My heart goes out to the officer Langley's family and friends. My community has definitely lost someone special. I along with many others am enraged by the absolute callous disregard shown by this idiotic student, who will no doubt have many years in prison to consider his actions. However, comments of hatred directed towards him will not change what happened. I think we should follow the noble example set recently by the Amish community and embrace forgiveness. This community is going to need healing not hatred.
And for those of you saying that this is not typical of the Greek system on the olemiss campus, I'd say you have not been paying attention!!
I have no idea as to what you are referencing with your last paragraph.
As far as hate goes, you are confusing my reference to reality as hate. BTW, I do hate dims... and NO... I will NEVER forgive them.
I have added the Family of the slain Officer to my prayers. I pray for the boy's family also. The boy is on his own.

Unless the student meant to drag the officer, manslaughter is a more likely charge than murder. What a thing to live with the rest of one's life. If a conscience is present, that is.
