I just wanted to let you, and all the wonderful people on this forum that my mother considered her friends, Kattracks, passed away yesterday afternoon. She died peacfully, with her family at her bedside. If you knew my mother, you knew how concerned she was with the welfare of others. At one point in the afternoon, we were all gathered at her bed, reminiscing about her,the good times, and all the good things she had done for others. It was as if she had waited for this moment, when she knew that her loved ones were going to be alright, that she was able to let go, and pass into the care of God. To all that knew her, be rest assured that she is waching over you from Heaven. That is just the way my mother was. She always put the welfare of others ahead of her own.
Everytime my brother, father, or I would leave the house, my mothers last words to us was Be Careful. I asked her one day why she always said this to us. She explained to me that in that one phrase was wrapped up all the prayers, concerns, and love that she had for us, but to explain it all to us as we walked out the door would take too long, so she would just say Be careful. Im glad I asked her what she meant, because from that day on, and everytime she said it since then, I understood who, and what, my mother was.
Thank you all for your prayers and support for her.
Frankie

Original thread:
Kattracks has asked me to begin a prayer thread for her, the hardest thing I have ever been asked to do.
She has had a very frightening finding on a medical exam that is not confirmed and may be a false alarm, but which requires all of us to uplift her to Almighty God asking for His mercy to spare her life or to give her and us the strength and faith to walk the path He has chosen for her.
More information than that I am not at liberty to disclose.
Please ping everyone you know who can pray for kattracks, who was long a moderator on FR and now is the Fairy Godmother of the Merry Band of Patriots.
that is a very neat prayer -
hope you both have a good day...

Keeping Kattracks in prayer.
I'm praying for you kattracks. Hear my plea: Heal our friend Oh Lord! Holy Mother, look down upon kattracks, shine your healing light on her, give her strength, and make her well!
I wanted to let you all know what is happening as you, my friends, have been praying and worrying in my behalf and I thought you should know exactly what is happening.
Two weeks ago (Oct. 12th) I began to cough up blood. I called my doctor and had a chest x ray the following day, by which time the bleeding had stopped. The x ray showed a small area of infection on one of my lungs, and my doctor prescribed anti-biotics. I then had an office visit with him the following Tuesday when he suggested I have a CT scan. Since I had also been having minor problems with my stomach he decided a full CT scan was advisable.
I had the CT scan on Thursday, (Oct 19th). The results showed absolutely nothing in my lungs. Apparently the anti-biotic's had taken care of the pneumonia, but he also had some frightening news for me. The scan showed a lesion on my Pancreas. It showed that no other organs were affected and so the next step was an endoscopic ultrasound test during which they would get a more detailed picture and try to get some tissue for a biopsy.
I had the endoscopic ultrasound test today and the doctor was mostly pleased with those results, as all surrounding organs are quite normal. He also told me my blood work was normal, which he believes is a good sign. Unfortunately, they were unable to get a tissue sample, which means another test with a radiologist. I'm trying to schedule this as soon as possible as I don't want to put everyone through another long agonizing wait.
The gastroenterologist answered all of my questions, and explained fully to me what the best to the worst scenario could be. I am, naturally, hoping for the best, but I am also prepared for the worst.
My family has been wonderful throughout, and if it's God's will to take me home, I only pray that they will find the strength to accept this, as I will.
My dear friends, I so much want to tell you all just how much your prayers, well wishes and thoughts have meant to me.
There are no words to describe how they have comforted me. Saying thank you could never convey what I feel in my heart, for you all, my extended family.
Because of your prayers I feel a peaceful and calm, and I am ready to accept whatever God wills for me.
Your friend,
kat

Praying for a false alarm...AMEN
I want to post, again, what I put up earlier on this thread.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the , I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.Sometimes we walk through the shadow without encountering the real thing. I am praying that is your route right now, kat. I appreciate you, sight unseen. Imagine how much more God loves you! It is good to read the reports of His faithful answers to our prayers for Him to uphold you through such a difficult time.
A return to good health will prevail. When the going gets tough......you know the rest of the sentence.
Much love going your way.
Leni
