President Bush spent the day in

North Carolina

Traveling with the president were Press Secretary Tony Snow and Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings

After arriving in Greensboro, NC, the president enjoyed a barbeque lunch at Stamey’s Restaurant, then visited nearby Waldo C. Falkener Elementary School where he spoke about the No Child Left Behind initiative.

Later, President Bush traveled a few miles further south to visit The Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, NC, then on to speak at a private GOP fundraiser.

Sorry to hear about your loss of power hope you had insurance for the food in the freezer. That is always my fear if we lost power not just the waste of food and money but the mess.

I think I ought to check my policy tomorrow to check if we are insured for this.

Did you not think that by making W walk and talk with BOR, that BOR was doing that to take command of the interview, AND...show everyone in America that he was taller (in his mind=better) than the President????

I felt that showing the President as shorter than Bill was not a good idea I am surprised that his handlers allowed that. Maybe we should send Tony Snow a note for the future suggesting if the interviewer is taller etc that this is not a good idea.

I didn't even try to go because I thought traffic would be a nightmare and there would be no way to even get close to see anything.

But tonight on the local news, I was watching W's motorcade leave the camp and it went by a gas station (one I know well) and people were standing there, waving, taking pictures, just twenty feet away from the man himself ...

After seeing that, I felt really stupid LOL

One night I got 50% prepared and realised I had to post so the rest I did on the fly which meant it took longer to post but at least it was up by about 9.00pm Eastern.

Exactly. And whenever I refreshed Yahoo, there were MORE photos ...

When I was trying sort them all out, I thought about you and the Dose you prepared on the 9/11 anniversary ... it can be maddening at times :o

The President is just so darn easy going, but his handlers should be fired. That was UNacceptable. COMPLETELY. With our video experience, and TV having been a background of mine, I would love the job. The man would NEVER go on air without the right tie for the background colors, the right lighting, the right things behind him in the shot. Who the heck is doing this stuff, anyway??? They seriously need a pink slip, if the Pres likes them, or I think, fired.

That was TOTALLY unacceptable!
