we have DUmie trolls, Poedesta Media center viral spin doctors, and third party kooks floating around now.
There is a very serious, very concerted effort to reduce conservative voter turn out.
Democrats will eventually cede Texas and Louisiana to Mexico.
Secret is to convince people the last people they spoke to are stupid and your listener is bright enough to see through it all.
Agreed on both points. And how.
That is the latest democRAT plan. And I contend that using the confrontational tactic of name-calling supports it, because I think the natural reaction to being called "stupid" is to escalate the confrontation, not negotiate.
Heh...spoken like a true barkeep! :-)
IMO, the Republicans need to be brought down a notch or two, to remind them who they work for.
I agree with you that Republicans need to be reminded why they were sent to Washington and who sent them there. The time to do this, however, is during the primary not the general election. If you think the Democrat in your district would do a better job then by all means go vote for Democrat. If you think the Republican would do a better job then go vote Republican.
Our choices may be between bad and worse but we need to make our choice. Please support my son in the middle east and vote. He needs your help.
Agree and its mostly coming from the Lame Stream Media who are advancing a "fait accomplis" (a little French lingo there) a a pre-ordained RAT sweep of both Houses in order to demoralize the Conservatives into conceding and staying home.
Couple that with the legitimate gripes (and I have PLENTY myself) against the Pubes, there is a serious danger that we could end up losing from not exercising our right (and privilege) to vote.
As in your tag, I also have a "Longtermmemory" in having lived with a RAT controlled Congress in the 60's and 70's and remember only too well the very extreme and negative consequences of their actions--and I have some "friends" I left behind in Nam (who worked for/with us Americans) who ended up in Concentration Camps (oops, "re-education centers" /sarc) thanks to the policies of the RAT controlled Congress at that time, not to mention the indirect resulting death of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese and MILLIONS of Cambodians.
THANKS, BUT NO THANKS. I'll take my chances with idiot Pubes and RINO's before I considere giving the RATS control.
As Rush says, you don't win by losing.
God, I LOVE that picture. That will piggy bank if the Dems come into power. I'm one of the "evil rich", you know. At least by their standards. I own a house and my own cars out right.
Well, what should he/we refer to them as, "Enlightened?"
What's that old saying: "If the shoe fits......?"
I was one of those (and readily admit "STUPID") who was seriously considering sitting this one out.
Decided that my considerations were "stupid" (even before Blankley remind us all) and was only cutting my nose off to spite my face.
Would be interested in hearing your or others' suggestion for what we should call all who are going to stay home to "punish" the idiot RINO's and the rest of the useless (and there are quite a few) Pubes and possibly give control of Congress to pure evil?
What "the media" might do has no influence on how I vote. Sadly though, this is not the case for others who allow themselves to be manipulated.
If you are trying to send a message that the Republicans are not conservative enough, your message will be completely missed.
You and many others continue to erroneously equate persons refusing to abandon their consciences and ethos as 'sending a message' to the G.O.P.
Though I do realize many Freepers think that they, in their infinite wisdom, know what's best for others
The only message you will be sending is that you are not too bright.
"Not too bright"? Perhaps, but we'll still have our "princleples" intact and unscathed.
First, I am a Conservative first and I will vote on election day, as always straight Republican. Positive reasons include reduced taxes, decent judges, and a recognition on the part of most elected Republicans of who the Islamo-facist enemy is and what he wants to do to us, to America. But make no mistake about it this is a "hold my nose" vote. Why?
1. Illegal Immigration- We're better than the libs on this (not the White House or the Senate but the House) but we're still terrible
2. Wimpy Prosecution of the War- Let our troops fight to win, clean out the Jihadis, secure Iraq's border
3. Spending/Earmarks- No discernible difference between the two parties on this. My rep voted to keep the beneficiary of the earmarks a secret from the public and got an earful.
4. Rove Strategy of Supporting Incumbents in Primaries- Laffey/Chaffee and Toomey/Spector were both very disappointing decisions. "Realpolitik" resulted in a Spector re-election but Chaffee is lagging badly and what's the deal with the White House and RNC submarining Katherine Harris?
I could go on but a lot of my disaffection is directed towards the Bush White House. I'm particularly upset with the naming of super-lib, Henry Paulson to SecTreas and importing Goldman Sachs to run the Tresury Department.
What really annoys me most at this time is being called "stupid" by my own party for being less than enthusiastic about our national party. Normally it's the libs or the MSM that's calling me that after we've just won another national election. Now it's Rush and the RNC.
First they tell us not to upset the applecart in the primaries and go with the Rino because he stands the best chance of winning. Then they tell us that although the Rino stinks he's a heck of a lot better than the lib-Dem-socialist he's running against. And they're right but...
If the country is basically conservative why are our guys always moving left when they hit the beltway and becoming conservative again only every two, four, or six years when they need us to be reelected. It gets old.
Depends on whether you want to convince them that voting a certain way is the right thing to do, or whether you want to start a fight. Name-calling isn't likely to convince anybody of the error of their ways, but it is likely to convince them that they don't like you.
What "veto pen?"
Luv W to death (and voted for him twice) but as we can see from his appointments (Chertoff, Mueller, and one of his BIGGEST MISTAKES, keeping Minetta on at DOT, etc) and his own reluctance to ever criticize the RATS (no matter what) or veto anything, period, makes him a Wuss in my opinion and agree that no matter WHAT the RATS would pass, he would more than likely continue his ("Got to go along to gitt along") philosophy and sign whatever came across his desk.
Thanks
They'd be even more stupid to vote Democratic.
The security of our nation, the war on terror, the economy and future Supreme Court appointments are too important to our children and grandchildren for me to stay home and allow the democrats to assume control.
Completed my mail-in ballot last night and will send it out with today's mail. Voted "No" on all propositions except "Property tax limits." Straight Republican ticket on all elected officials. The social engineers are slavering for a whack at us. If you're a conservative and can't stand a single Republican on the ballot, you still may find yourself wanting to stop the socialist expropriation contained in the initiatives.
Blacks support school choice. Blacks also support Democrats, uncritically. And the Democrats, feeling the need to placate the education establishment, oppose school choice -- and safely ignore their Black supporters.
This is what will happen to conservatives if we don't administer a 'short sharp shock' to the Republicans. The stupid members of 'the stupid party' are the ones who are letting themselves be frightened into line with 'The Ogress Pelosi'.
