Russia trades its support in exchange for US support on its international issues.

That's the case of North Korea.

Russia also is a supporter of Iran going nuclear, WHY????

Russian nuclear industry presses for new contracts - they want money. And probably, they can't afford not having it - not many customers.

Russia actualy doesn't build a bomb for Iran - but it seeks to be a successful mediator -> authority in Aran world -> influence.

Russia build a light water reactor - not helping Iran to enrich fissile materials to the weapons grade.

Iran's technology is from Pakistan which is an US's ally. Russia also is selling arms to the wild eyed oil dictator of Venezuela.

Venezuela doesn't threaten Russia and it offers money. A pity we have a shortage of Saiga shotguns for public because of Chavez's order. Also not many customers for arms - Russian military orders nothing.

Let's delve a little deeper into the N.Korean recent history.

When WWII ended Stalin and US had an agreement to leave the control of the Korean peninsula as one country. Well Stalin changed his mind, boycotted the UN and refused to leave N.Korea. In 1950, Stalin made a secret pact with China to send down 120,000 + bodies into N.Korea, while Stalin secretly gave air support and oversaw the war.

Stalin died and a line was drawn that maintains to this day is the separation of the Korean peninsula leaving N.Korea frozen in time.

Now along come the collapse of the Soviet style communism and our very own Clintons adopted the N.Korean peninsula with a deal to provide them with food, oil, and assistance in building nuclear energy.

Well while our leaders were focused upon becoming the world loved leaders, and enhancing their own personal economy, they ignored the mass starvation of the people of N.Korea, even though we tax payers were funding food shipments to feed those people.

So to continue to use that piece of real estate ruled with the Soviet style iron fist is NOT something that gives Putin a look of freedom. Putin's willingness to use as international tool the former Soviet style oppression as trade for US support makes Putin hands very very dirty.

Actually, Iran's nuclear technology and working nuclear reactor is from U.S., it was given to Shakh regime which had tensions with USSR.

Since Shakh regime was overthrown by revolution, Americans changed their mind about nuclear Iran, but they cannot take their reactor away, so they are remaining silent about it to save face.
