as I recall, people were saying this during Katrina when alot of freepers were posting that it was going to be turned into a political issue if things didn't move faster. guess who was right.
You can always be counted on to launch into hysteria for every event. You simply got lucky with Katrina, kinda like the broken clock, or the Vonage commercial.
The HI governor is a Republican. It won't go down like Katrina.
We were even better than that. We pointed it out the day before Katrina hit when Landreau released a statement to the effect that it was all Bush's fault that they were going to be short on National Guard because of the Iraq war. It was a set-up from the time the storm cleared Cuba, it's amazing the powers that be didn't see the political issue coming.
