Today, President Bush and Mrs. Bush joined Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in Arlington, Virginia for the dedication of the U.S. Air Force Memorial.
Also in attendance were Chairman of the Air Force Memorial Foundation, Ross Perot Jr.; Secretary of the Air Force Michael Wynne; Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General T. Michael Moseley; Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Rodney McKinley; Secretary of Veterans Affairs James Nicholson and Major General Edward F. Grillo (USAF retired) President of the Air Force Memorial Foundation.

Later, President Bush delivered a short statement about North Korea to the press on the South Lawn of the White House before he returned to Camp David.

OOO yummy looking cakes there Eleanor!!

Caraway Seed Cake (old fashion seedy cake)
It is a rich sponge recipe with 2 tablespoons of caraway seeds folded in after creaming other ingredients (6oz SR Flour, 6oz sugar, 6oz marg, pinch salt, 3 eggs, 3 tablespoon warm water) bake for about 50 mins 350F or 180C normal oven 160C fan oven.

The U.S. Air Force Memorial is beautiful.It really is.
We hear these plans for other memorials (particularly the 9/11 memorials) that have become so complicated and convoluted with political correctness that no memorial will ever be built. And if so, it will probably be so watered-down and santized that it will have no meaning.
But the Air Force Memorial is clean, simple and beautiful. They did it right.
Hope the folks in charge of the 9/11 memorials look at this and see how it's supposed to be done.
