The U.N. Security Council votes unanimously to impose sanctions on North Korea

And after unanimous consensus in the UN to sanction the PRNK, their Ambassador sees it as a provocation from the US and considers it an act of war....

There are an infinite number things besides treaties and war

Not between countries at the state level. Even 'free trade' is a treaty obligation.

There's a lot of firepower pointed towards N korea from the DNZ. I don't know if it would stop them, but barrels will be read hot trying, and a lot of NK bodies will be piled up.

As far as Japan goes, I think they can take care of themselves as far as sleeper cells are concerned. The only major concern for both South Krea and Japan is a nuclear attack, and conventional missle attacks, IF Korea actually has development reliable guidance systems. But I don't think Kim would be that stupid to lead off with that sort of attack, unless he wants sudden death.

Bush said there were no nuclear arms in the pacific near Korea. You can bet that as of this UN announcement, N Korea is minutes away range wise.

Bolton might not be around much longer... and the way things are shaping up... it don't look too good for us either.

By the way, we got the heads up a few days ago that NK were very close to planning another nuke test at a 2nd site according to a translated article posted here.

I would not be surprised if Kim tries another nuclear test within hours in reply to this.

He pointed out that the NK ambassador's chair was empty. (NK amb. made his speech and then left the assembly). Bolton equated it with Nakita banging his shoe.

Kim ignores the resolution as illegal, a cargo ship with tanks/missile parts destined for Yemen/Iran etc. sets sail.
US/Japanese naval vessel attempts to stop and inspect the ship.
Warning shot fired after ship fails to stop.
NK special forces unit aboard the ship fires an anti-ship missile from the deck.
US/Japanese vessel retaliates and sinks the North Korean ship.
North Korea declares war.

Unfortunately, this is the most likely scenario we'll see.

Things will get most interesting in the months ahead.

CNN : North Korea's ambassador to the U.N. said his country "totally rejects the unjust resolution."

Shock horror.

The only answer is to assassinate Kim and the rest of his regime.

That would be breaking the law and will not happen.

According to the DPRK, everything is Bush's fault!

According to the DPRK, cutting off free money is an act of war.
