Can America Survive a Pelosi Political Plundering?

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has embarked on an ambitious agenda for “Cleaning the U.S. House” once she assumes control.

There is, of course, the unfinished business of the November 7 elections to consider, but Congresswoman Pelosi regards the election itself to be a minor detail, unworthy of undue distraction.

To Americans still on the fence about the election, please think about the likely agenda that Pelosi would pursue:

* Impeachment of George W. Bush:

Pelosi and her supporters have all but guaranteed to impeach the president if elected. Pelosi is likely to make “swearing at George W. Bush” her first item of business after the obligatory “swearing in” of the new Congress.

* Withdrawal of Troops From Iraq:

Once President Bush has been dealt with, Pelosi will move for the immediate withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq. Pelosi will ask that the 130,000 troops in Iraq be placed on “stand by” for assignment to Haiti or other location where there is absolutely no legitimate American interest at stake.

Congresswoman Pelosi will also ask that American military force be available to seize any Wal-Mart store that refuses to cover 100% of employee health care costs, or to pay a minimum wage of $25 an hour.

* Apology for “Ugly American” Behavior:

Democrats would like nothing better than to issue a blanket apology to the world for America’s wrongheaded policies while Republicans controlled the White House and or either chamber of congress. Such a declaration would specifically apologize to all Muslims, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il, leaders of the former USSR, and assorted other nice guys--for the boorish, America first, behavior of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and both U.S. presidents answering to the moniker George Bush.

Withdrawal of Troops From Iraq

She could then follow up with an apology to all the families of Iraqi dead that will swiftly follow as Iraq falls into a civil war with one side supported by Iran eventually wiping out or chasing out the Sunni. And then later to the families of those killed by the re-energized terrorist groups such as Al-Qaeda...of course she'll try to blame it on Bush.

I see something more subtle happening.

Blocking all of the President's initiatives

Giving the Democrats power and influence in Washington

Tieing Bush administration in hearings

Paving the way for take over in 2009

Impeachment will piss off the Right (with good reason) and the process will get ugly. They need people to turn out and vote and not just the liberal base.

Once in power they do what they want:

Rollback tax cuts

Raise minimum wage

Advance liberal social programs

Flood court openings with liberal judges

Return to Clinton style Foreign Policy

As posted on other threads:

Republicans, if they are to win in November and avoid a Pelosi takeover, must quickly appeal to those American citizens (their core base) who still believe that the Founders' ideas, as expressed in their Declaration of Independence and resulting Constitution, must not be overturned by what are described as progressive "liberal" judges who strike down laws protecting life and property.

Even in times of war, these principles become even more important, not less so!

Democrats would like to keep the focus on contemporary issues (Iraq and scandal), allowing them to win votes so that they can return to their primary agendas: promoting more powerful central government and pro-abortion judges.

As stated in my previous post, Republicans who want to win in November should refocus and remind their voters of two things:

1. Liberal judges who will be be appointed by Democrats.

2. Liberal laws on abortion and other life issues under Democrats.

Protection of life and individual property are fundamental principles that Democrats and the judges they appoint will not secure. History documents that fact.

We gave the Iraqis a chance to have a decent government, but they seem intent on throwing it away (between Sunnis nostalgic for Saddam's tyranny, sectarianism, and tribalism). It would be nice for some Arabs somewhere to show that they can create a decent government, that there isn't something in their culture that rules that out. At any rate they have only until Jan. 2009...even if the Democrats get a majority in Congress as of Jan. 2007, I don't think they'll be able to force an immediate pullout, but the next President will probably be a 'Rat who will cut and run...whether it's Hillary or someone else just as bad.

Here is the dirty little secret that the Dem'crat caucus is not telling Nancy Pelosi - she goes under the bus, whether the Dem'crats gain a majority or not in the House.

Political correctness be damned - Nancy simply does not have the resolve to whip up the ranks to the necessary froth so they will proceed with articles of impeachment against George W. Bush, the major objective in this headlong rush to dismantle and deny a legacy for Bush. The "war room" maintained by Rahm Emanuel will demand much more discipline among the troops for that endeavor.

This is a distance-and-direction urination contest, and Nancy is severely handicapped by that double-X chromosome thing. Of course, all Dem'crats place a serious disadvantage against themselves, because they tend to face into the wind during these contests.

She said today that within one hundred hours she will get rid of all Pub lobbyists. Ha., What Dem lobbyists will be killed? And btw, will she also be Commander in Chief? Aside from the Blue states, could any Red State stand San Fran Nan as a leader in the House??

I think the Democrats are going to cause a civil war in the USA if they try to impose their rule on the people.

I happen to agree with you in each of your points. Before the war I was against it because I'd spent several years in interaction with muslims...Islam is not compatible with democracy without frequent intervention (such as the military in Turkey...and that "experiment" hasn't lasted all that long in the grand scheme of things).

My guess is that conserv political junkies like ourselves will demand that the GOP start on day 1 of a Dem House and Senate to target races for 2008, have a real conserv agenda, get better, younger candidates with some mili. background to run in '08 and to flood CSAPN every night, and the Talk Shows every day with conserv-Pub issues. If they do not, there will be hell to pay as '08 arrives.
