Hope that Tonkin sees this at some point.
Tonkin,you don't know me but I've seen your posts from time to time.I always thought your screen name was simply a witty,informal slogan that was perhaps coined by sailors serving in or near Vietnamese waters during the war.
But then,just a few weeks ago,I went to the USS Intrepid Museaum in Manhattan just before it was scheduled to close for a major refurb/refitting.
While walking around the flight deck,I saw,on part of the superstructure a unit patch reading "Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club" and I immediately thought of you!!
Well,enough of my yaking....get well soon!
P.S.,please excuse my obvious ignorance regarding all things Navy.I was an Army guy who was lucky to learn his way around an M-14,let alone a Navy vessel.
