I wasn't trying to be flippant. Helicopters are not easy to fly. And if you disregard the terrorist angle, about the only way you'd fly into a building is by accident - whether pilot error, mechanical failure, collision with an object, weather, etc.

Flying a helicopter is very complicated. Compared to multi engine fixed wing aircraft, they are unreliable. I'm not saying helicopters crash all the time, but helicopters crash often enough. In NYC, I'd bet it averages out to one or two a year winding up in the river.

It's now fixed wing. Interviewing someone saying they saw a plane wing dip.

Huh? How about Helicopters, for some people, are not easy to LEARN to fly.
The guys I flew with in Nam sure made it look easy (120 kts @ 5 feet over the rice paddies hopping over grazing water buffalo) with no apparent effort on their part other than the smile on their faces.
