San Diego Headline News: ...Rescue At The Border SAN DIEGO, CA - (10-10-06 7:26am) Authorities are attempting to extricate five people trapped in a tunnel at the international border Tuesday morning. It is happening near Via De La Amstead and Paseo De Las Americas. The circumstances surrounding the incident are not known at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
1. One fat mexican was stuck in the northern end of a tunnel designed to allow mexicans illegal access to another country, two were already here and being held (compassionately) while the others simply walked back south to TJ. one person trapped and thousands of dollars spent digging his fat butt out of the hole.
2. We are being invaded, by a hypocritical neighbor who will shoot illegals crossing northward into its territory; being met by a hypocritical US government terrified of 'world opinion'.
3. The thread itself was hijacked by one poster endlessly lecturing any and all, including the mods, and eventually forcing acceptance of his or her own interpretation of others' thought waves.
4. P&V is absolutely right about mexicans (innocent drug carrying family values types) versus muslims (all directly related to the 9/11 scheme and all that followed). Both islam and mexico harbor influential elements that hate the USA. For that matter, the USA harbors influential elements that hate us almost as much but have so far resisted the allure of beheading people.
It should be significant that most of the beheadings being carried out are of other mexicans and other muslims - so nuking an entire nation is not a rational or moral option, yet.
5. My solution remains to identify - and smoke - those (OK, other than democrats) who actively seek to destroy OUR country. For the more passive invaders & fellow travelers, simply confiscate every nickle and all property in the possession of every illegal alien that gets busted for any crime in the US, and every islamist supporter found in the US who has not actually acted on their beliefs (for them see above at "smoke") and deport them in their BVDs....adults, kids, men and women.
I agree. But, as we know, not everyone is called upon to acquit themselves. Many things just pass.
One of the main reasons I spend the majority of my online time at Free Republic is that it DOES help me to sharpen my stances on various issues, and it does allow me to ensure my opinions stand on logical underpinnings. People on here are damned quick to rip your point of view to pieces, and rightfully so. It makes us so much more able to express our opinions without having to descend to ad hominem attacks as so many liberals have to do once you scratch the surface of their arguments.
And by the way...I appreciate the civil discussion on this. It DOES bring up freedom of speech, which in our world is under constant attack. It is also the most treasured and relevant of rights on FR, but we need to remember, the freedom of speech we enjoy here is a voluntary trade-off with the ability of Jim Robinson to run a site, which is his. If he or his moderators were really overbearing, people would leave, and that doesn't seem to be happening.
Some of us are tired of the good intentioned people who are killing us with their kindness.

Keep them here and put them in mandatory hard labor to repay their extrication bill from the tunnel, THEN send them back. Maybe then they will tell their buddies it isn't worth trying to enter illegally.

Well, I am certainly not going to flame you, I don't think I have flamed anyone on this.
I just disagree that we should vocally advocate burying people alive or sealing them in and drowning them.
Would I agree to a militarization and sealing of the Mexican border with a DMZ that can only be crossed at checkpoints? Yes. I think that is where we will end up anyway, after the first nuclear device set off in American city comes in through.
And, it is just my opinion. Which may vary from yours.

government publishes for the benefit of their unwanted citizens.
