I agree that it deserves its own thread...and I think what we all need to do, when reading that thread..and your "factual" commentary...

That this is necessary...because of Hillary...she will be ALL the MSM talk about the day after the elections in November..(unless the dems win the Congress back,UGH)...

AND...SHE is the one that came out the day or so after that Fox show...and referred to Clinton as "my husband"...which places her squarely in the crosshairs for criticism and questioning re: her answers about these same subjects,...what did she know? what would she have done?

#491, Laura behaves in a Reactionary manner because she has gotten into the habit. To give you a wild example to make it more understandable, if she felt someone grab her butt, wheeled around and punched the closest Man,she may be mortified to find out that it was his three year old Toddler that did that. She would need to have more info before condemning the first person that she sees. This happened to me at Disney World a few Years ago and I did come close to nailing the Dad. The toddler was grabbing at anything they could reach, and latched on to my leg and hung on. I would have been very embarrassed, and maybe arrested if I had over-reacted. I know it is not the same, but a lot of Conservatives are behaving like they are not waiting to see the big picture and the facts before they get hysterical. We have to do better to fight the Liberal Rats and the DBM(same thing)or we will suppress turnout.

As far as Laura Ingraham goes, shes needs a pass IMHO, at least for a while.
In the past year she has visited the troops in Iraq, really supported them in a big way, had a tremendous bout with cancer which is enough to make anyone crazy, imagine if you are a woman and losing your hair, getting cancer and loosing a fiance all in a matter of a few weeks, it has to unnerve you just a little I would guess.

I'll give her a pass for a while, time to get her life a little bit more back in balance.

I really pray the conservative base of the GOP wakes up before November 7th.

There is too much riding on this election and I really feel the future of this country is the biggest thing at issue.

Prayer is good, but talking to people, making phone calls, volunteering for phone banks for this election, etc., is probably of more immediate benefit right now.

This election is about us getting our voters out.  I've got a van.  I'm taking neighbors to the polls for early voting.

I think you are taking a very good approach to the entire thing...and I LOVE reading you posts too! YOU GET JUST AS PASSIONATE !!!

there is still more to come out on this... if you read the story at the link-- I think it is reasonable to believe that MAYBE Haster could have handled this better...

I guess my stand is that protectin kids requires being aggressive and pro-active about potential dangers as well as obvious ones.....and as for babysitting- no- Hastert should not HOVER over people at all... no way- they are elected, and they are adults....but I believe there were other red flags before the emails (or IM's) were ever written, let alone exposed...

I am awaiting all the facts to come out before I accuse anyone of wrong-doing...But I do want BETTER than what we have had....

as for Foley-- I know MANY local elected officials that vote the way I would want them to, but they are NOT statesmanlike people that I want in office to represent me...

It is sad-- being an elected official use to have some integrity with it.. now it is all pure politics...maybe I am old-fahsioned... I want there to be some real people behind the rhetoric of family values... I want to trust that the one representing me doesn't have anything in his life that can be used agains them to influence their votes...(like being blackmailed as was attempted to be done to Foley...)

I am just not willing to say voting the way I want them to vote is good enough....and close my eyes to the rest....

not saying that that is what you are doing.. so please don't take that wrong...

#493, I really never liked Salmon, but I have an excellent recipe that kills the taste. LOL! It is made with crushed Pecans, and Raspberry Preserves drizzled on Top,with Garlic and seasoning.

Is this cover of time magazine only in the USA or is there a different cover in the outside the USA eddition?

Time is not to be trusted.
This has become a media wish orgy of pro democrat spin.

They should subpoena time magazines photos to see if they had pictures of Foley with his "partner". It seems ALL the MSM knew but did not expose Foley because they wanted to maintain ACCESS. (ie blackmail to ensure they had a contact)

Agree 100%. I'm at the point where whatever the drive by media says is wrong, I'm for, and whatever they're for, I'm against.

While I do like to think through the issues and logically arrive at a reasonable conclusion, I've found the above method fairly accurate these last few years.

Foley's consituents were well aware of his proclivity. They embrassed him and re-elected him every time.

I suspect that BLACKMAIL is at the heart of this fiasco.

To blame Hastert is unconscionable.

#521, for as long as I can remember the left has portrayed anyone that tried to help a child by getting close especially if they were of any Religious Faith as being perverted. Children need to be comforted and Mom and Dad are not always around, and a lot of them do not give their Children any warmth at all. Years ago your neighbors,Clergy, townspeople, etc served as surrogate Parents, and there was little of this filth and depravity that we see Perpetrated upon Children. On one hand the left wants to let the NAMBLA get the age of consent down to 8 YOA,but on the other hand they will condemn anyone that hugs a crying child as a Pervert. Many Children do not have Grandparents and that is such an important relationship for a child Many older People with time on their hands could serve as surrogates and both Child and Surrogate could benefit, but the Left does not want that. They have created a mess, and then blame others.

The Miami Heral is reporting they did not reveal the fact THEY KNEW about Foley and his homosexual lover (and his trolling for recreational sex with other men) [This is from the Beltway Boys on FNC.]

....BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE DISRUPTED THEIR ACCESS TO FOLEY.

IOW The Miami Herald was using their knowledge of Foley the homosexual as a THREAT so they would be able to have access to him. How many stories did he leak in order to keep his life quiet? How many times did the Herald remind them about keeping his life quiet?

(don't they have

So to condense all the nosense to it root message.

I don't care what is going right in Iraq. I had my mind made up before Bush invaded and I will be damned before I bother to cover anything postiive that will prove me an ignornat bigot on the topic of Iraq. "so difficult" yet they got AP photodogs running around with the Insurgents? The Danger is to Nick Roberts partisan media template notions on Iraq not his, and the other Junk Media Journalists, over inflated egotistical asses.

Now how many Embeeds there are on an normal day in Iraq?

ZERO. They simple do NOT what to tell the whole story.

That's not what David Corn is selling:

October 04, 2006

"The List" (of Gay GOP Aides on the Hill); Hubris on Bloggingheads.tv

There's a list going around. Those disseminating it call it "The List." It's a roster of top-level Republican congressional aides who are gay.

On a totally unrelated note, the other day on Drudge he had a headline about the no-fly list and how it had lots of the wrong people on it.  The headline talked about how the President of Bolivia (crazier than Hugo Chavez) was on the list "and some of the 9/11 hijackers."  OK.  I know they're dead, but if those sumbitches show up to try to get on my flight I want them stopped!  It may be profiling, but I draw the line at zombies!!!!!!

(Barbara Mikulski on a list of gays just made me think of that).

On a more related note, do you remember the reaction in Hollywierd when Ellen Degeneres "came out?"  Lots of folks "came out" as well in sympathy.  That included Nathan Lane (of La Cage and The Producers).  The universal reaction, expressed quite publicly in both Hollywood and NY was "Nathan, bubby, we knew!"

An article written by Evan Thomas (gag me) was just posted...it is pretty long...kind of a history of this.

The name that just pops up to me is that Fordham guy....he worked for Foley, is openly gay...left Foley to work for someone else...but, according to that article just happened to be having lunch with Foley on that Friday that the news came out and Foley resigned...in fact Foley got the "bad news" WHILE he was having lunch with Fordham.

And, who is the investigators main "source"? Fordham
