Whoops. 1992, of course.

Sorry she mouthed every nosense line from the Democrat Noise machine in her interview with Hastert. She did not even TRY to let him get the facts out just vented on him. It was WAY unprofessional and WAY out of line.

The article is just nasty!

The end of a revolution

(Time.com) -- Every revolution begins with the power of an idea and ends when the only idea left is power.

The epitaph for the movement that started when Newt Gingrich and his forces rose from the back bench of the House chamber in 1994 may well have been written last week.

So just who would hold these "senior members" accountable? The gutless justice dept.? The gutless R's in congress? Sure won't be the DBM. Maybe Fitzgerald?

How about us?  We got Dan Rather.

Sometimes I just get plain discouraged.

Don't let the bastards get you down.  We have the power as long as we don't cede it to them.

Before trying to be fair to the other side, atleast be fair to those who lifted them to where they are now. They were leading with the agenda for MSM then, now they are just following the agenda of MSM.

Yep, absolutely...

It's really quite simple, as the old expression goes...they just need to remember to dance with the ones that brung them.

I didn't hear the interview with Hastert, I was referring to what she said this morning with Chris Wallace.

"Sheperd Smith's producer Jay Wallace was named recently exe.producer of the entire news operation. By proxy Sheperd Smith has taken over it."

Yikes, what a horrid management decision. I just finished reading the article you linked above, about Roger Ailes.

Roger, quite full of himself if you ask me, states that no matter who replaces him, nothing will change at Fox News, because he has built such a long bench there.

I'd like anyone who thinks that to take a look at Laura Ingraham's radio ratings from this week.

Fox News can take their 10 year anniversary celebration and shove it. They won't stay on top long with Shep Smith's producer in charge.

#296, Pat Buchanan thinks that if he trashes the GOP enough it will go into pieces and he thinks that Pubbies would then have him pick up the pieces. He is on some kind of hallucinogenic to think that Pubbies would be stupid enough to follow him anywhere, anytime. He is worse than the worst Democrat because he at least used to have some kind of Republican Values. Democrats in leadership have nothing like Values and never will. It is too bad that the non leadership Dems are following the Leaders over a cliff like Lemmings. we would like to have recruited some of them from the Dark side.

Move the troops to Kuwait. Withdraw from Iraq but not really...

Not only a moronic idea militarily, a dangerous one. Worst of both worlds. Allow the terrorists to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by running away from the fight in Iraq. Basically repeat the disaster in Somalia only on a massive scale. Then the terrorist simply follow us to Kuwait. I would think after 09-11 the Neo Isolationist clique on the Right and the Do Nothings but Surrender crowd on the Left would finally wake up to this post 09-11 reality. YOU cannot run away or talk to this threat, you got to kill it. That what Iraq is all about. Killing the threat

#298, you are listening to her now with the disadvantage of not having listened to her in the first week after this happened. Her hindsight seems to be 20-20 where her first few days proclamations about the entire matter were deaf, dumb, and blind. she needs to do better, she has been around a long time to be so tone deaf. Get it right Laura or get the Hell out of the way......

Well I'm back from Church.

What I mean is this:

The conservatives have logically beaten the socialists.

In other words, the ideals and principles of the Left, their dogma, doctrine, and disciple (ha, something I taught in Catechism today!) have been proven wrong. We have the facts on our side.

We have completed 65 years of socialist programs in this country that have helped less then they've hurt. The New Deal and the Great Society are over, and have failed. They know it.

The Democrat party should be acknowledging their defeat, and working its way back from the loser positions and begun to come up with logical competing ideas. But the DBM has prevented that, by actually trying to hide the loss and stifle the debate.

The press has continued to lie, obscure, and twist facts. They continue to CHAMPION the defunct positions of the Left. The bell curve of folks believe a lot of these ideas because they haven't had a place to go to to see a contrary (and winning) position.

We, Free Republic, are that. Sure, lots of silly stuff, nonsense, and incorrect thinking gets posted here, but due to the free-for-all atmosphere of anybody who belongs to Free Republic to correct, argue or dismiss; and our demand for proof: links, facts, etc, we have become the antidote to the Leftist, short-on-ideas illogical thinking DBM!!!!

When you put it that way it sounds like an Ayn Rand book or two. Same scenario, same results.
