President Bush and Mrs. Bush joined former President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush for the christening of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, the USS George H. W. Bush CVN 77.

Also in attendance at the ceremony were Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, General Peter Pace, Virginia Senator George Allen, Doro Bush Koch and Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

You play a key role in defending our freedom." (GHWB acted as the keel authenticator. His daughter, Doro Bush Koch is the ship's sponsor.)
