Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, in town for a fund-raiser for Sen. Rick Santorum, had a close encounter with a large group of anti-Republican protesters as he was making his way to the Duquesne Club, Downtown.
It was about 4:15 yesterday when Mr. Bush met up with the protesters near the corner of Liberty and Sixth avenues. The protesters were marching to join other pickets already gathered in front of the exclusive club, a little more than a block away at 325 Sixth Ave.
Protesters said Gov. Bush blew them a kiss, acknowledging the crowd of about 30 chanting pickets that was made up of United Steelworkers and members of Uprise Counter Recruitment, a tour traveling through 22 cities to support anti-war efforts.
The protesters came closer.
"Jeb, go home," they shouted.

Things are beginning to get out of control with these so called "free speech advocates". I'm afraid things are gonna get worse before they get better. Nothing a good old fashioned civil war can't solve. Since the dems don't believe in guns, it shouldn't take but about three minutes to take them down and mop it up.
No you didn't get what I was saying. Actually the author hit the nail right on the head. These people weren't there to protest a specific issue, they were there to harass the guy because he's a Republican politician,and as far as I'm concerned people like that can go suck a lemon,or something else !!!
Let's see, no arrests were made, and the scene out in front of the club was, according to the article, peaceful. Where was the violence you speak of?
That photo could have been taken in 1968, what with all the "Black Power" salutes going on.
Instead of just cornering Gov. Bush, you would prefer they beat him up?
If the security was called, and indeed used tasers twice, the threat of violence was there.

I live in Pittsburgh, and the unions run this freakin town. and they ran it right into the ground.

A half trillion dollars in loan guarantees to the chinese steel industry didn't help.
Pres Bush supported the steel industry with tariffs that cause him to lose some support and this is the thnx his family gets

Anyway -- sounds like the usual reant-a-mob types that are bussed from city to city.
I understood that point exactly. I was just echoing that not only the "protesters" but the "journalist" himself sees being a conservative Republican as something worth protesting. It doesn't take a specific issue. Remember, the author was the one who called them "anti-Republican protesters."

Aren't the analogies between the Islamofascists and the liberal/socialist/Democrats interesting?
Both hate America, seeing it as a "colonial/imperialist" power.
Both believe that the success and quality of life in America are undeserved and the result of some criminal action against other people in the world, i.e. anti capitalism.
Both hate Bush.
Both have "unimpeachable" fundamentalist beliefs that believers cannot stray from. Ever.
Both seem to riot at the words of "infidels" and attack same.
Both have leaders that are "infallible" and vitriolic.
Both have memberships largely composed of angry, ignorant, weak minded people, usually burning an effigy of the President, and easily swayed by persuasive (read that as "loud") leaders to protest some entity (see Bush, Isreal, westernism, capitalism, democracy etc.)
Both hypocritically defend free speech only when it is they who are doing the speaking (see "infidels")
I wonder if we can just group them under Islamoliberals? ;-)
