Jesus is a royalist. Whether he'd be a Republican or a Democrat is therefore a moot question.

It is ignorantly rediculous to say that Jesus would be of any party, much less a Democrat. Since Jesus was considered a Rabbi in those days, he also preached rendering "to Ceaser the things that were Caeser's and to God the things that were God's". He advocated, for example, that we (as individuals) care for the poor and never preached taking money from our neighbors to satisfy our own personal responsibility to care for the poor.
Other Democratic platforms, ie, abortion, same sex marriage, pedophilia, etc. is, in fact, condemned by Jesus.
As such an authority on the New Testament, and as a "lifelong" Christian, then she is aware of the New Testament admonition to be ye not yoked unequally with unbelievers (non-Christians). Can't think of any closer yoke than in a marriage. - Jesus wasn't political then, and He still wouldn't be political IMO. He stated that His kingdom was not of this world. - Killing babies that He had a hand in creating probably wouldn't be likely to appeal to him.
