Victoria Crater.
The Mars-orbiting NASA satellite took a picture as it
passed Victoria Crater and actually captured the Rover
sitting on the edge of the crater.........A blow-up of
the satellite photo showing Opportunity sitting on the crater's rim
False color looking North to Cape Verde; great rock layers to explore.
Looking Southeast across Duck Bay.

That is an amazing mirage, RW, looks just like you're looking through water at the rock formations.

Is that water in the crater? Looks like it to me. if you go to the link and read the article, they tell which color modes are used on the different photos - this one says"
"This is an enhanced false color rendering of images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam)"

Yes. Takes time for geology to make that feature, cold air, near vacuum but with strong wind. Won't happen very often on earth. Won't happen on the moon. Don't know what it might be good for, probably nothing.
