This is from the Oklahoman that I just read. Found out that Englander was recommended by Chip Wilson who is considered a dirty trickster in campaigns as witnessed in our Congressional race in the primary in District 5.
Istook refuses to confirm staffer's involvement

Capitol Bureau
U.S. Rep. Ernest Istook refused Thursday to confirm that a member of his gubernatorial campaign staff is a former U.S. House page who may be part of a scandal involving a former congressman.
I will say nothing to confirm or to deny the name of anyone who may have been a victim of the wrongful behavior of former Congressman Mark Foley, Istook said during a news conference outside his downtown Oklahoma City campaign headquarters.
Foley, a Republican from Florida, resigned last week after it was learned he exchanged sexually explicit e-mails with former pages. The FBI is investigating.
Media reports have claimed that someone on my campaign staff is a victim of Mr. Foleys misconduct, said Istook, the GOP nominee for governor. Whether that is true or not, the point is that were talking about a victim, not an offender. This is a young man who is bright and hard-working. He does not deserve the public embarrassment that he now faces.
Istook, of Warr Acres, said he urged the man to cooperate fully with law enforcement and the House Ethics Committee.
That person is not here today and exactly what his status will be, will be determined as we go along, Istook said.
Istook said reports that the man - identified in media reports as a Californian named Jordan Edmund, 21 - had been working on his campaign is a distraction to his bid to unseat Democratic Gov. Brad Henry. However, he said he did not think it would adversely affect his gubernatorial bid.
Things are a distraction, but it doesnt stop the momentum that weve been gaining, he said.
Latest polls reports show Istook trails Henry by nearly a 2-1 margin; latest campaign reports show he is 3-1 behind the incumbent in raising money.
Henry, campaigning Thursday in El Reno and Yukon, declined to comment, said Paul Sund, a Henry spokesman.
Istook, retiring after 14 years in Congress, repeated he was unaware of Foleys sad and sick behavior until last week.
How would I have known, how would I have intercepted somebodys private communications? Istook asked.
Istook said he first learned Wednesday one of Foleys victims may be someone that he knew.
My reaction was to try to find out whats going on, Istook said. I have no personal knowledge of what the House leadership knew or didnt know. Im glad that were looking into that.
I realize we live in an era when people want an instant answer, he said. They want everything to be resolved immediately. We should not have the press or anybody else trying to pressure people to jump to conclusions.
Istook dismissed a question that presidential adviser Karl Rove, who will appear Monday night in Oklahoma City to raise money for Istooks campaign, recommended he hire Edmund.
Chris Wilson, of Wilson Research Strategies, said Thursday he recommended last year that Istook hire Chip Englander, a Californian, as campaign manager.
Wilson, whose company serves as consultant to Istooks campaign, said the campaign manager usually hires his staff.
Chip is a very well-known campaign manager, one of the best going into this cycle, said Wilson, who couldnt recall Thursday which previous campaigns Englander, 25, worked on.
Thanks, PKM; great info.
Chip Englander, 25, is one of the BEST campaign managers says Chris Wilson, and yet he can;t REMEMBER whose campaigns he worked on!!!! ALERT ALERT,,,ISTOOK HAS BEEN HAD!!!! Chris Wilson is NOT to be TRUSTED!!!!
