CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

3000 what? LOL Congratulations to the thread starter. ;)
Apparently, Vivyan has been "shopping" the tale around Atlanta for a while now. A popular DJ in the Atlanta area has been mocking him on the air (Kim Peterson, aka "The Kimmer"), and has refused to interview him. Somebody needs to ask Vivyan why he's not self-identifying as gay in all these interviews, because he is. Far from being offended and outraged at the attention he received from Foley, he cultivated it, in the hopes of gaining some advantage in his career. Speaking of his career, how does he support himself at present?
So you have no problem with chickenhawk homo recruiters as long as they are Republican?
Legal or illegal is not the point.
The point is, Foley is a homo recruiter. I thought we didn't like those kinds of people.
He was sponsored by John Duncan (R-TN), so he likely would not have identified himself as liberal or Democrat at the time.
So you like homo recruiters?
I find them disgusting.
Why should they? Foley is a chickenhawk recruiter. That's a fact.
How 'bout chickenhawk?
Homosexual recruiter.
I can't believe so many Freepers all of a sudden have no problem with homos recruiting our young people.
Teen boys are ripe for the plucking. Some of them might be "questioning."
Foley wanted to make those boys stop "questioning" and become full-fledged homosexuals.
But it's okay, he's the victim, because he's Republican.
This is the most blatant example of groupthink I've ever come across.
Foley is a scumbag. And that's a fact.
Foley has resigned in disgrace. No one is defending Foley's actions. What we are trying to do is to uncover the source for what apparently is a deliberate political ploy to negatively affect the election of Republicans in November. The legality or illegality of Foley's behavior matters as far as any claim of a cover-up, which impacts Hastert as Speaker. All things immoral are not illegal, and a lot hangs upon the legal distinction.
Um, if the parties involved are adults as it appears is the case then honestly it's none of our business. The man resigned and it is being ivestigated. If these smartassed punk kids were simply pulling a fast one then they deserve what they get.
I don't condone Foley's behavior but he did resign so let's not let this obvious dem ploy to make the values voters stay home on election day work.
Read my tagline, that is what's the real issue.
No it's not group think, it's us wising up to the freaking dems ploys. Again, Foley resigned, it's being investigated and the little snots knew what they were doing. They aren't innocent babies here but obviously manipulative punks out to destroy someone and bring the Republicans down.
What crime would a person so entrapped be charged with?
What crime would a person so entrapped be charged with?
Enticement to commit ...
Has nothing to do with being gay.
He's a "recruiter" of teen boys.
You feel bad for all predators, or just the ones with "R" after their names?
What are you so happy about? Foley's still a perv.
Wonder if they were illegal?
