CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
I'll fourth it. LOL
When Rathergate broke, I wouldn't even bother to watch the news...I knew it would be nothing but excuses, denial and CYA.
I didn't watch until Rather resigned. Didn't want to miss that.
algor was the choice.
(Tell your 'values voter people' that for me, OK? :)
You know, I was thinking that Foley himself could have playing a prank also, especially if he knew that a prank was being played on him. He could have played along with the prank.
The lying under oath pissed me off too. But I was pretty POed at the fact that he was getting serviced by some 20-something in the Oval Office. And I'm pretty POed to find out that a US Congressman was using a high-school internship program (a program which I have strongly considered applying to) as a way to hit on teenage boys.
He worked under Clinton...I think they know he knows too much about their dirty tricks.
President Bush should appoint him.
Welcome to FR.
Since you defenders of Foley seem to be so picky about the page's age - so quick to point out that an 18-year-old isn't technically a child anymore - I think we need a new word to define an adult who is attracted to teenagers. How about teenophile? Will that do?
he's not a pedophile. [He's a] predatory homosexual
A predator goes after and usually gets his prey. Foley had already invited this page or another up to his hotel room (according to one transcript). It was only a matter of time before the predator got his prey (or so he thought). Foley, as a 52-year-old man going after a teenager, is a teenophile. However, I personally would use the term pedophile.
Now that this story isn't going the way the dems hoped watch it get dropped from the MSM (driveby) headlines like the plame story.
Does Fox not notice this???
I'm getting sick of this!
This so called kid, who is now a 21 year old probable Gay activist for the other side.
Stood by and did nothing until he was identified. He hired a top gun defense lawyer, and we hear the magical words, "It was just a prank!"
Those who will buy the prank story were putting the hangman's noose around Denny's neck until Drudge broke with the story. Drudge may have been contacted by the 21 year old operative's lawyer.
That's the list of Senators that voted for Alito. If you read the comments section, the posters then give there guess as to who it will be.
I'm more concerned right now that Freeh will not be doing the investigations because the rats say, 'no'!!
Hee-Haw~~~~~~~~~~~`I hope you guys aren't kidding us. I must believe this is true, PLEASE!!!
I did an email exchange with Fox when this story was first posted on Drudge and they fully discounted it as a non-story.
What's the crime? That he replied to an EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD, in IMs?
Does your piss apply to just Foley or all Republicans? Any piss for the Democrats for doing even worse than this?
Grampa we need to find a way to pressure those Quislings at Fox News to report the prank story.
