CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.
Developing...
I see the Clinton tentacles everywhere and this included.
The e-mail exchange was with a 16-year-old, but it was not sexually explicit at all. The IM exchange with another page didn't get explicit until the guy had already turned 18. In other words, any IMs or e-mails that have been submitted as proof have thus far turned out to be nothing. Allegations are meaningless without proof.
Legally, Hastert had little choice otherwise.
The child's parents thought it was bad enough to complain and wanted it stopped.
The same parents who insisted Hastert talk to Foley, but not allow it to become public.
Yes, Foley replied to the prank IMs the pages were sending to him...knowing he was gay and laughing at his responses.
A family made a complaint, and the leadership took action. They couldn't have booted him from congress b/c of emails that did nothing wrong.
Sheppard Smith makes me MUTE my t.v for two hours a day. He is a liberal hack who hates conservatives.
According to the post I pinged you to- ABC is about to come out and refute Drudge....
...making new pitcher of iced tea:)
I will not be surprised if the associate is someone other than a page (or former) page.
You mean, does the district "go both ways"? ;P
lol
Does anyone beside me see the tenacles of the clinton war room in this?
No. Frankly, the Comrade Clintoon crowd is too old and not savey enough to play in the internet world. They're probably in the group that's holed up in some hotel taking an emergency crash course about the internet today. LOL
No Merry Fitzmas...again.
EDMO! LOL!
The IMs were written in 2003. The explicit cybersex was after the guy had turned 18 and was no longer a page. No story here whatsoever.
I hope you are wrong. They've been a good alternative to big 3 broadcast trash. Maybe they will wake up...
Normally ABC will ignore Drudge...it took time for them to acknowledge it during Rathergate....maybe it will happen here....if Drudge keeps pounding out these stories, ABC will eventually have to respond, and their response will be aired on other networks, during which people will begin to wonder if the original Ross story was fake all along.
Between graduation and age 30, the world reduced my arrogance quite a bit. (the usual suspects will now make snide remarks...) ;D
ABC can refute all they want; they are still BUSTED!
