So a teacher or administrator who has had the background check and/or training to legally be issued a CCW license should not be allowed to carry on school property?
Currently, it is against the law for anyone to pack heat on school grounds in my state, except police officers. It is so extreme that a child with a GI Joe doll sized toy pistol(about the size of a quarter)was suspended from school for bringing that toy to class.
I think one needs to be careful about arming people to do their job--this kind of thinking leads to many people need ing to potentially carry a weapon. I am thinking of healthcare workers in the ER, gas stations etc- it is just a thought that caution regarding protection for innocent children should solely rely on the aim of a teacher. I am not saying they can't have a weapon-but we must be careful about who is doing this.
