A posting of an unredacted instant message sessions between Rep. Mark Foley and a former congressional page has apparently exposed the identity of the now 21 year-old accuser...
ABC RELEASED TRANSCRIPT OF ONE CHAT BETWEEN FOLEY AND A MAN WHO WAS 18 AT THE TIME OF THE INSTANT MESSAGE EXCHANGE.... NETWORK STATED THE MESSAGE WAS TO 'UNDER AGE' TEEN... DEVELOPING...

The explosive aspect of this revelation is that someone at the DNC or ABC lied about his age, and if they lied about his age what else did they lie about?
Yes, but he's nowhere near being the "pedophile" that the media has been screaming about.
LOL, Colmes thinks there's such thing as non-consentutial IMing? Someone needs to inform Alan Colmes that IMing isn't a sex act. But then this is Alan Colmes so for him, maybe that's as close as he ever gets to sex. LOL.
And sex with a minor, with or without consent, is still sleazy regardless of what age of consent laws may allow. And an IM is harmless compared to actually taking a minor out of the country, plying him with alcohol and then schtoping him. This just goes to show the absolute hypocrisy of the DemoCrites on this whole page issue. Excuse your boy who did FAR worse while attacking Foley. I spit on them all.
Based on what?
LOL. I like that
It's days like this I almost wish I had cable.
Dead on!!!

By tomorrow morning FOX will have done their own due diligence and will disclose these facts. The Republicans need to close ranks and protect their own and call for explaination from Pelosi as to why, when she thought they boy was underage she sat on it for 3 or more months. Scream it from the rooftops. Demand ABC own up to it. Demand CBS call ABC to account. Divide and conquer.
I'm back..... hey, legal eagles at FR, here's what I'm wondering about now: I'd been assuming that the (Jordan Edmund??) character, or whoever was on the other end of Foley's salacious IMs, was somehow involved in pushing this story to the MSM as a "sting" against Foley..... of course there are loads of facts we don't know, but what if Jordan Edmund did not have any intention of ever making these IM transcripts public, even on an anonymous basis..... what if he just shared them with a friend who later violated his privacy on this, but never gave any consent to the publication of these very private messages.....?
Would he have grounds for some butt-kicking lawsuit against ABC and others involved in what has now become his national very public embarrassment?
I had assumed that ABC must have had some kind of release form signed before going public with this, but if they didn't even know the guy was 18 y.o. at the time of the sleaziest IMs, maybe they really have screwed up badly enough to get sued for millions of $$$...... I usually detest trial lawyers, but I would enjoy seeing even John Edwards take on ABC here if it would further embarrass and humiliate them! Anyone know if they might have legal vulnerability here?
. . . tell my Momma how hard I tried . . .
Hmmmmmmm. When did Bill Burkett start at ABC?
If I can remember where I swiped it, you'll be the first to know. :D
Woodward has got to be a drinker.
Who else would say something like that?
The truth no less, and right before you hit goal.
media here is taking an interest in that race.
Good news, thanks!
I agree. See my post #552.
What is Istook's reputation as a person? Anything swirling around him?
Telling the kid to "strip down and get relaxed" and saying he's horny is a little more than creepy, don't you think?
The fact that his name is out also is very helpful in that eventually he is going to have to talk in public about this. That will hopefully expose the Dems timing even more.
Update 8:55PM: ABC Trying to Hide Foley Mistake? Changes Text of 'Blotter' Entry This post pointed out that ABC had mislead the public by misstating the age of one of the former pages who was instant messaged by Mark Foley as under 18. ABC News has changed the copy on their story about the Foley IMs:
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys who began their exchanges with Foley at the age of 16 and 17, and continued through the age of 18.
But the original wording is still in the Google cache:
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.
The "Blotter" entry does not acknowledge the correction.
