Now that that is out of the way I will reveal how I (and a few others) discovered Jordan Edmund was one of the former house pages that participated in sexually explicit instant messages with Rep. Mark Foley. Also I will explain to you why I believe it necessary to reveal Jordan Edmund's identity. You may not agree with my decision, but I hope to explain my reasoning by the end of this story.

You seem to have a grasp of the story quite well.
He came to our Meet and Greet for another candidate who was also running for Governor and recorded his talk for Istook's campaign which I thought was tackey. Then he wanted to order an alcoholic beverage and I said since I was paying only cokes. I told one of their campaign staff they should lose this kid because he made Istook look bad. Wasn't even wet behind the ears and walked in like he owned the place.
He is from CA (San Diego) and knew nothing about Oklahoma. He is self serving, arrogant, and works for the king of dirty tricks in a campaign that has been having a hard time getting off the ground. Istook doesn't deserve this because he is conservative. Someone had to recommend this jerk and I bet I know who it is.
I believe he would do anything to further his agenda whatever that is. I sure wouldn't feel sorry for this kid because he is way beyond his actual age in years. He is street smart and would do and say anything IMHO!
They let it go on? No one turned the guy in?

So you're actually saying that ABC payed this kid for these IMs (I guess Foley wouldn't pay up, he figured with the number of potential black-mailers there would be no end...)

I don't know. I only know that I'll sit and talk to my sister via IM and boom, my cell phone is full of what we just talked about...all her IM's saved, one by one. Thing is, it only saves what she says to ME, not what I say to her.
As to when AOL had this feature, well I don't know. I don't even know how to stop it now!
Istook hired a campaign manager from San Diego and my guess this kid came with him. I don't like him and never did. I thought all along someone was doing dirty tricks to Sullivan who was also running for Governor and this kid and the guy who probably hired him are quite capable of doing any dirty trick you can think of. This is no naive kid!
I heard a short time ago that the media is camped out on his door.

I don't think that the staff had any idea, and I was very naive back then and didn't see ratting on him. The boys that I knew of had no father figures and already were oriented gay (I don't know how.) I just have these vague memories of the clique that surrounded him.
