Boy that didn't take long did it? Fordham just resigned and is now yapping away to the press instead of the FBI.

If true, Hastert is done. Plain and simple. If Hastert's office was told 1 year before hand that the pages were getting creeped out, did nothing, then was told 11 months ago, that Foley was still creeping out the pages with his email and did nothing, Hastert deserves to go. This changes the story alot. Again, if this is true.

I'm having a hard time buying this guy's line. Didn't this Roger's guy threaten Fordham also?

Those sources said Fordham, a former chief of staff for Congressman Mark Foley, had urged Republican leaders last spring not to raise questionable Foley e-mails with the full Congressional Page Board, made up of two Republicans and a Democrat.

"He [FORDHAM] begged them not to tell the page board," said one of the Republican sources.

Boy oh boy, just as soon as they began to sense that their first ploy to get Hastert wasn't working very well, they pull this rabbit out of their hats. Watch for what organization Fordham lands a position with.

Yawn, sour grapes by someone who I read on another thread on FR that Fordham is a source for the homosexual magazine "Advocate".

What exactly does he mean by "worrisome?"

Are we seeing the birth of another set of confusing word games, like emails versus IMs?

What's up with Drudge? He's got this story splashed across the headlines in red print. I think he's slowly going over to the dark side.

I must go on record and say that if this is true, then Hastert is a POS and in the same slimy class as Foley.

The Republican higher ups better do what's right to show the rest of the country that the GOP will not accept scoundrels in it's ranks. Expel the both of them.

According to Mike Rogers, who tracks such things, Fordham is openly gay (as opposed to closeted). Just today, I have already seen two opposite accounts of what he did two years ago. We need clarity.

My first question is this. Why did Fordham abruptly leave Foley's office of few years ago? Was Fordham romantically involved with Foley? Usually, I wouldn't ask but I believe it is now relevant given what he is claiming. What is Fordham's history with these pages? All this needs to come out.

I think the key word here is "evidence".

As soon as there was evidence, he was gone. He is an elected officeholder, he owes his position to his voters. You can't force him out on hear-say. But he didn't last 5 minutes once there was something tangible.

For those paying attention, this is the way its supposed to work. And this is what the Dems and the press have to get around. Their Foley's hang around for decades, honored members of the club. Ours either resign "voluntarily" or are forced to resign the minute there is something to go on.

We don't accept that kind of behavior. They do. That is undeniable, and Foley's case only demonstrates it.

The Strata-Sphere and Gateway Pundit blogs are all over this story and the various players.

One of the commentors is stating that the "boy" involved here is 21 years old.

Plus, forgot the name of the blog, but someone said they have a big press release at 4CT time today.

This is going to get too confusing for the public (and all of us) very soon.

Yeah, Fordham also tried to make a deal with ABC last Friday, not to release the IM's.

What was he "dealing" in return you ask? An "exclusive" to ABC about the Foley resignation.

If that's true, this guy ain't very smart.

And we've known abut Teddy Kennedy for how long? Foley's only problem is that he's not a democrat holding office in Mass.

the following should have been included in the piece above:

AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) - A former aide for disgraced Congressman Mark Foley has quit his job as chief of staff for the upstate lawmaker embroiled in the scandal that's rocking House Republicans.

Kirk Fordham has issued a statement saying he resigned today as chief of staff for Congressman Thomas Reynolds of Erie County. Fordham once served in the same position for Foley, a Florida Republican who resigned last week after it was revealed he sent salacious electronic messages to teenage male pages in Congress. After the scandal erupted, Fordham counseled Foley to resign.

two years ago about worrisome conduct by former Rep. Mark Foley with teenage pages.

If this guy is a Dem operative, that "conduct" was probably Foley saying "good morning" to one of the pages.

Don't trust the Dems!

Show me the paper trail. If this were me or any person honestly concerned about children, I'd have emails and other memos to document that I'd reported it. I'd also have kept squealing until something was done. If he doesn't have corroboration, he's lying.
