Yes I do get it...

The Democrats will get away with it because they can.

And we are working ourselves up into a lather thinking that we can prove to the American people the emperor has no clothes on we can what?

Prevent Ted Kennedy's relection?

Prevent Barney Frank's relection?

Prevent Hiliary Clinton's relection?

Circle the wagons and repeat as loud as you can "they do it too..." and the American people sigh and say "not that again."

No, you don't get it. While what Hastert and the House leadership knew and when he knew it SHOULDN'T be a political issue when we simply don't have all the facts, the Democrats ARE making it into a political issue and using whether Republican congressional candidates think Hastert should resign as an issue in local races. The Hastert bashing must stop until we have all the facts. Now, that can happen in two ways:

1) Hastert resigns - which I suspect is what you want to
happen. But there's no reason Hastert should resign just yet. There is no evidence he did anything wrong. Hindsight is always 20/20.

2) The House Republicans grow a spine and start fighting back, pointing out that the Democrats are politicizing an issue when there are more important things to be discussing and oh, by the way, the Democrats knew about it too and did nothing except withhold relevant evidence until they could do maximum political damage. There's probably insufficient evidence that Democrats knew so far, but I haven't seen the MSM putting Democrat Congressmen or the DCCC on record about it.
