Further complicating the matter: since it's the internet, we don't necessarily know that the victims were even in DC at the time. Which law applies? The locality of the perp (DC), or the locality of the victims?

Alot of freepers are reminding me of democrats when the Clinton scandal broke. Instead of concentrating on what Foley did.

We don't have to worry about Foley any more. He resigned...something that clinton did not do. While D' s defended clinton to the hilt, R;s have thrown Foley under the bus.

Since Foley resigned, this has become about who did what. With D's trying to pin the R's with some kind of complicity by not acting sooner, it is fair game to also examine the political timing of this "news" and the connections between the pages and the Democrats.

And Foley's computer and AOL's server logs as well. It's not impossible for there to be transcripts of IMs. Actually, it's not real hard. And, If Foley did this from behind the firewall at the Capitol Building, or on any other Govt network, it becomes childs play to pull the history on him.

It's different in every state, actually. In some states, there is a different age of consent for 'deviant' sexual activity, which includes homosexual activity. I don't know if that's the case in DC, however.

With all due respect, this sounds like Hillary's "vast right wing conspiracy" speech. Who cares if the Democrats set him up or not. Seriously I really don't care he needs to be outed and thrown in the clink.

And when I was active, nobody I knew saved their IMs. When I was in a position to have to save an AOL log (due to an office situation) nobody knew how to do it. And I'm guessing kids especially would just as soon not leave that kind of diary for their parents to review.
