New Foley Instant Messages; Had Internet Sex While Awaiting House Vote October 03, 2006 1:22 PM
Brian Ross and Maddy Sauer Report:
Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.
ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.
This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp.

The exchange continues in which Foley and the teen both appear to describe having sexual orgasms.

According to another message, Foley also invites the teen and a friend to come to his house near Capitol Hill so they can drink alcohol.

can't we abandon our cultural elite?
Some of you sanctimonious ill-informed PRIGS make me sick.
Foley is gone; lighten the hell up.
And, FGS, stop screaming at other posters.
I cannot find mine either on AOL or Yahoo. I had one from my daughter just last night and I cannot find it.
I archive email but don't archive IM's.
It is wrong and disgusting but the age of consent in DC is 16 and in Louisiana it's 17 with no age or gender variation amendments. It means "sexually" the teen is an adult. I don't like it and think there should be a federal AOC of 18, period but that's called "state's rights".
Most instant messaging programs, this includes AOL and AIM, have a logging function that you can turn on or off in your preferences. But to be able to find them after two years of IMs, you would have had to save them at some point in time.
I am amazed at how many of the "newer" posters seem to swallow the MSM's specious chum hook, line, and sinker.
And I'm also amazed at the damn handwringers around here.
Foley didn't send them to the papers
Thanks, bwteim!
Areafiftyone, please see Post #268. I misunderstood what Rush said.....thankfully.
Oh boy - it's better that 50 yo Clinton was a rapist and sexual harasser and preyed on a willing subordinate 18 yo women rather than (as far as we know now) Foley sent and received suggestive IMs with a 16yo boy ?
Yeah, that makes me feel better for my 16yo daughter - in 2 more years what Clinton did with Monica is BETTER than homosexuality in your book ?
I suggest to you that both are equally reprehensible.
that is four years old...

go to the bottom chart and check the Message Logging column...I dont know what software the kids used, but a lot of younger people use Trillian so they can chat with people using Aol, Yahoo, iChat, MSN on one program
You're welcome.
What I asked is what crime was committed?
I am not defending Foley at all and think he is a scumbag but I am not kidding unfortunately. If the kid was 16, what crime did Foley commit except being stupid, disgusting, perverted, etc.? Since the age of consent is 16, I don't understand the crime.
I am not saying I agree, but if the 16-year old was of the age of consent, what crime did he commit? I am talking law now not emotions.
" he isn't some fearful 10 year old boy being preyed on by an adult - he is an active participant in this little game. "
Anyone who thinks the kid is an innocent child should take his willing responses to Foley ( the X rated ones at ABC ) and then imagine your reaction if the same responses had been sent to your 16 yr old daughter.
I'd be out the door and in this kid's face so fast and then I'd have a nice chat with the parents warning them to keep their little pervert away from my daughter.
This kid with his fake ID and his sexual responses to Foley- is no angel.
Despite what the Democrats and the media want everyone to believe.
Sorry,
What's a PRIGS?
Thanks
Exactly.
PRUDES.
Give it a rest. And don't dare scream at good Freepers like that again.
James Dobson has come out in support of Hastert. HA!
Even if you go back in time, a lot of them came right after the 2000 or 2002 elections and are not screen names I recognize.
When someone says "The Republicans," shows me that are not Republican and are here to spread their disinformation.
I wish they'd all just keep their yaps SHUT. They just make it worse.
Brings new meaning to the phrase Republican In Name Only, doesn't it?
