New Foley Instant Messages; Had Internet Sex While Awaiting House Vote October 03, 2006 1:22 PM

Brian Ross and Maddy Sauer Report:

Former Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) interrupted a vote on the floor of the House in 2003 to engage in Internet sex with a high school student who had served as a congressional page, according to new Internet instant messages provided to ABC News by former pages.

ABC News now has obtained 52 separate instant message exchanges, which former pages say were sent by Foley, using the screen name Maf54, to two different boys under the age of 18.

This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp.

That is a good point. I assumed when the kid said he had homework, and talked about living at home, and doing lacrosse and waltzing - I did assume he was in highschool. Could have been University and he could also have been in his 20s or 30s or whatever. Personally I doubt it.

Having said that, I will probably be called a homophobe but frankly the gender aspect of it bothers me to.

You need Jesus too. No party is worth the anger you are carrying around inside of you. Both you and Foley can receive God's redemption.

More likely, there's a computer somewhere that's logging on and off automatically.

YOU KNOW WHAT??

I don't think it's either. There's probably a lot of ways to get impersonate a nick at one of those chat servers.

Wait for new revelations -- to quote from two members of the OK delegation: Cole and Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., also agreed the actions of others must be covered by any investigation. When did the Dems receive this info and why didn't THEY turn it over to the FBI? I think they should put Foley in a cell and throw away the key but there is going to be more coming out. I believe this like other things will blow back in the RATs faces. They are once again overplaying their hand and now ABC is right there with them.

Wow I am stunned by the level of permissiveness on this board particularly from you. You sound like a Liberal.

I am not sure how pointing out a fact as the age of consent is being a liberal. Nobody is defending the guy. Everyone is happy he resigned. What he did was sick and inexcusable. But it may or may not have been a crime. A Democrat actually had sex with a 17-year old male page and did not resign because he maintained it was just consentual sex between two consenting adults. That is a liberal.

Maybe he abandoned that AOL screen name a while back and it was taken by someone else.

In Foley's case it must have had a big hard drive?

This is just wrong and indefensible and has nothing to do with dems or repubs - Foley should be in jail.

I agree it is wrong and indefensible. Holding on to the information (for political gain) that Foley was a threat to young pages is just as wrong and indefensible. Someone sat on this for three years. Shameless.

The other troubling issue is that if Democrats or liberal media/interest groups knew about this and held it for an "October surprise," then they were allowing the safety of pages to be jeopardized in the interim. By not exposing this issue immediately, they let Foley continue these activities so they could score political points in the lead up to the election.

Then Foley could be innocent of many of the emails! They do not allow a duplicate on AOL....in fact...you are automatically enrolled on the AIM and AOL accounts under your name...and it cannot be taken by another.

Have you noticed all the so-called 'conservatives' coming out? I predict they are neither conservative nor Republican because they use terms like The Republicans are going to lose the House which is right out of the RAT playbook.

No mention of "we" and they are way over the top. Also noticed that a lot of them have taken similar screen names so you have to stop and think who is posting.

Western Civilization has lasted because of Christ. Without Him, we will lose it. Suicide will not change what Foley did. But God can change his heart. And yours too.

Foley resigned and Clinton didn't so he is no pubby version. He also was not President and didn't have his finger on the nuclear arsenal for starters.
