It was just a little good-natured ribbing amongst civilized (or is it 'civilised'?) friends. I hadn't read the out-of-hand flame war before posting it, and I meant no offense.
And yes, Americans in general, are getting way too fat...especially down here in the Southeast. Diabetic care is a booming business around here, what with all the fried food and massive quantities of sugar in everything.
P.S. I'm not an isolationist. That's almost like calling me a Buchannonite, and that gets my fists ready for action. *Spit* (Kidding)
