Further, one continues to shoot until one is sure the threat is no longer a threat. If that takes 12+/- shots per Officer in a matter of seconds so be it.
That would certainly come as a surprise to both of my S&W Model 625's, which are handguns that have "clips" and not magazines.

From one particular experience, there was a guy who was shot at approx 6 feet by two officers who emptied their Glock 17 mags into this guy before he dropped his gun and went down. Of course this was due to his shooting at one of the officers but he was a walking dead man until the head shot
