Instead of resigning, Foley should have just switched parties and became a Democrat. The media and Democrat party would have rushed to his defense.

You may be right... but does it make it right.
I am starting to get enlightened by this whole political party loyalty. Its not good for Rep or Dems....
If I am a Rep. and defend someone who is doing something against what I believe in should I not question my own loyalty to what is a terminal value of my own.
There is something profoundly wrong if we look the other way because of party loyalty. Come on now this stinks to high heaven. Lets start cleaning house on both Rep and Dem side. If Dems take over the house and Senate so be it. Damn the Rep. for letting it happen.
We had power in both House and Senate and were walked all over. So what difference does it make? For me I will vote on principle whether it be a Rep. or a Dem. and I was a staunch Rep. supporter in the last two elections. Shame I say to all that caved on principle. They had us at hello...now its time to say goodbye
My thoughts are only for those brave men and women we send in harms way to defend this corrupt and disgusting govt.
If you ever read IN GOD WE TRUST.. the stories of the honest and descent men who paved the way for this country and compare to the disgusting banter and politics of todays politicians it makes you sick. I'm so ashamed to have supported such wimp's. That allowed the Dems to shame us all.
