Welcome to the FReeper Canteen! We're honored to have you with us for another weekend of fun, music, and amusement. We hope that you enjoy the selections provided at the top of the thread and throughout the entire thread. If you love our military, currently or served in the past, we hope you feel comfortable. Thank you for your service to our country. To our allies, thank you for all you do by standing with us!!

MICHIGAN HOMECOMING
Until you return home, we're here!!

How this works!

1. Selections are provided for the enjoyment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies, and their family members. They're priority numero uno! Got it?

2. You can request music via the thread by pinging laurenmarlowe. She does this for free because she doesn't know any better. However, please be patient and treat her well and she'll load up your request for our Troops. Thanks!

**laurenmarlowe is back! WooHoo!! GodBlessUSA is our junior sweeper!! We've got you covered!

3. If you are just a lurker and not a member of FR, you are welcome to send us requests via email at musicrequests4u@gmail.com . Please put *Music Request* in the subject line. If we don't get back to you right away, please don't fret. We'll get there. These threads tend to fly! If you're a FReeper, ping laurenmarlowe or do it via FReepmail. Please help us free up the email for lurkers!

4. Not all music will be appropriate for kids. We welcome families to enjoy the music, but the ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY lies with you and not us. If you click on something and are offended, that's on you. We try to provide ample warning, but it's your mouse and decision.

5. Want to tick us off quickly? Hotlink our music! That is an absolute no-no! This is provided free of charge to our Troops, Veterans, Allies, and their families. Hotlinking takes bandwidth that could be given to them.

Jukeboxes at the Canteen are created through this program! Be careful! The music might be offensive on the site!

Music!!
Tonight's theme deals with hits from the 20th century. You may not completely agree, but the compilation jukeboxes below will allow you to browse some of the hits!! We'll continue this until we're done or we're bored!

We'll use a song from the jukebox to get you started! All jukeboxes will open in a new window!
We will begin at 2000 and move our way forward each week until we hit number one!! Enjoy!

lazy day here. I cut the grass in tha backyard then came into the canteen for a few posts.

Steaks are being prepared for the meal later today.
Im working up the gumption to mow the front yard LoL

Your post of Copland got me to thinking about how we have very few composers of Classical music in this century. Gershwin and Graf are a couple of good ones. I will post some Ennio Morricone in a few moments

L0L Pooks has that tree surrounded!

I haven't seen many squirrels this year. It is funny to see him stalking the poor critter

Ok here is an Ennio Morricone tune from the film "le Profesionnel"

Everyone loves Morricone,at least on a subliminal level.

We conducted an experiment at kent state university, where we played "a few dollars more over bull horns across the campus on a sunday.....People were whistling the durn tune for 2 weeks ;)
