Now the airports commission has a solution: color-coding the lights on the taxi roofs to indicate whether a driver will accept a booze-toting fare. The actual colors haven't been decided on yet, but commission officials met Thursday with representatives of the taxi drivers and the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society to continue working on the plan.

Note to self: Avoid color coded cabs that don't allow booze-toting fares, whether carrying alcohol or not.

2. When a cab gets to the front of the line, he either:
2a. Takes the next passenger in line, or
2b. IMMEDIATELY goes to the rear of the line.

I've been in taxis all over the country, and I've never opened my suitcase for a cabbie's inspection.

I have a real simple solution for this. Taxis are licensed by the city. Whenever a cab refuses a fare, report the date, time, cab company and cab number. Suspend the license for that vehicle for 6 months immediately. The cab companies will think twice before letting muslim drivers idle their entire fleet of cabs.
