If he were truly innocent, he should have released all of the email text and stayed in the race.

Sorry, I'm not going to jump on the hang this man bandwagon, because there's simply no proof. Five of them? Fine, show them to me and this supposed sexual content. Next prove to me that he wrote the AIM messages mentioned elsewhere.
If the government gets involved and gets actual logs and records from AOL and those show that he committed a crime, then fine, but I have absolutely no reason to believe ABC or pages who may very well have an axe to grind with the guy for an entirely different reason.

The emails -- the ones that the GOP leadership was aware of previously -- were not overtly sexual, and the local media in FL didn't consider them newsworthy. It was the IM's that were overtly sexual in nature, and those just came to light recently.
